Azotobacter Biofertilizers

azotobacter is a nitrogen fixing bacteria. They also live freely in the soil and do not form any association with the plants.
*it produces plant growth promoting substances such as b-vitamins, indole acetic acid(iaa) and gibberellins.
*it has fungistatic properties on certain pathogenic species such as alternaria, fusarium.
* it also increases the germination of seeds. Seeds having less germinating percent if inoculated can increase germination by 20-30%.
