Auxiliary Transformers are ideally designed to be used in railway industry to fulfill the power requirements of the auxiliary equipment. This transformer type is also regarded as economical source of the power. In the constriction of the transformer, there are three windings provided that includes one primary winding and two separate secondary windings. Moreover, the primary winding voltage rating is same as a main generator. The other two windings may be of the same or different voltages may it be 11KV and or 6.9KV, according to the application area.

For local 100% humidity conditions the transformer is breather designed
Main tank plug and drain valve
Thermometer pocket to measure temperature of the oil
Lifting eyes to lift the core
Lifting lugs to lift the complete transformer
Contact with over pressure relief valve for indication/control
Magnetic oil level gauge
Dial type thermometer with utmost interpreting pointer in order to measure oil temperature with contact for the purpose of alarm.
