ATEX REED SENSOR

ATEX approved reed sensors are tested to carry out switching functions in potentially explosive atmospheres such that they will not become an ignition point when subjected to short circuits or adjacent component failures. They must also switch to a defined state when subjected to overload conditions. Reed sensor products meeting these requirements are generally referred to as intrinsically safe.
