These pipes are manufacture as per ASTM D-1785 standard and fittings are made as per ASTM D-2466, which are available in SCH 40 & 80 pressure class. These pipes are generally used for plumbing, water supply and jet pumps. ASTM threaded pipes are 30-40% cheaper to G.I. pipes.
