Fallen leaves from arecanut trees are collected, cleaned and processed in an eco-friendly manner without any use of chemicals to fabricate beautiful cutleries. The natural texture and the glow of the leaf make the end-product look plastic coated, which makes it water resistant. Texture of the product maintains its quality during long periods of storage, but is biodegradable once it is disposed after use.

Indigenous Innovations is founded and run by Monica Levine, a woman entrepreneur with vast experience in the education sector, marketing and sales. She had a successful career when she decided to start on her own.
As the name suggests the vision was to produce indigenous products from locally available material and raw materials that are eco-friendly and reasonably priced. She decided to start with paper bags that we sold locally and helped curtail the use of plastic bags. Expanding further the company moved into making banana fibre products. Later she ventured into trading of Arecanut leaf tableware and is currently one of the leading suppliers in the region. With Shivimogga district being the base for Arecanut produce, the region is a hub for these kind of products.
Currently the company is mainly into manufacture and supply of Arecanut Leaf Disposable plates catering to markets all over India. The company is known for its quality products and commitment to timely delivery and payments.
