Modern latest advance concept of Chlorination is vacuum operated Chlorinators for safety reasons the system widely in use today. This is much safer than pressure feed chlorinators as any loss of vacuum causes the gas supply to be shut off instantly and automatically.
Cylinder mounted/Wall mounted gas Chlorinators are vacuum Operated semi automatic for dispensing of Chlorine. Direct cylinder mounted is generally preferred since this provides greatest safely,easiest installation and minimum maintenance. Wall mounted chlorinators are generally preferred where sustained capacities are more than 2 Kg/H. The principle involves mixing an auxiliary supply of water with chlorine gas and this concentrate solution is then injected into water.
