Oxandrolone Tablets USP 10 mg is a synthetic anabolic.The drug was prescribed to promote muscle regrowth in disorders which cause involuntary weight loss.It had also been shown to be partially successful in treating cases of osteoporosis. It is also used to prevent certain side effects in patients who are on corticosteroids. It may increase low-density lipoproteins and decrease high density lipoproteins. These level revert to normal upon discontinuation of treatment.
