The Mapleson D circuit, also known as Bain's circuit, is a type of breathing system used in anesthesia to deliver a mixture of gases, including oxygen and anesthetic agents, to the patient during surgery or other medical procedures. It's named after Dr. Peter Mapleson, who initially designed the circuit, and Dr. William M. F. Bain, who made further modifications to it.
