Contact SupplierNitrite in aquaculture system is due to feed waste, faeces and plankton crash. The excess nitrogen will be converted in to ammonia (TAN, NH3, and NH4+), which is then converted to nitrite (NO2), simultaneously into nitrate (NO3) by denitrifying bacteria. But under low pH condition, the converted nitrite becomes toxic to the animal.
If pH is low (7.4 – 7 or less), will be toxic for low NO2-level. Hence, the role of probiotics in de-nitrification cycle is important to reduce toxic effect of NO2-. Our product DE-NIT contains Thiobacillus, Micrococcus, Nitrosomonas, Nitrobacter and enzymes.
