The most common causes of fire in computer control rooms around
the world is electricity. Air traffic control room, server room, flight
simulators and the data centers are basically computer control
rooms. These rooms consist of computer equipments and a maze of
power and signal wiring and cables. In spite of the best design there
are chances of failure of electrical components which may lead to an
electrical fault. The electrical faults may generate enough heat to
ignite the combustible material present in the equipment wiring and
thereby result in fire. It is most important to detect these fires at
incipient stage and suppress to prevent a major loss.
