Aggregates

Aggregates is a broad category of coarse to medium grained particulate material used in construction. They are used as base material under foundations, roads, railroads and even for reclamation of land. They are usually produced by the process of mining a suitable rock deposit and breaking the removed rock down to desired sizes using crushers.
These are capital-intensive operations, utilizing large earth-moving equipment, belt conveyors, and machines specifically designed for crushing and separating various sizes of aggregate, to create distinct product stockpiles.
Granite aggregates being the most common on Earth, comes from magma that erupted on the ground surface and then hardened. Good properties of granite make it the most popular building material. It is the best aggregate for high-grade concrete.
