Contact SupplierWe provide the best quality Acidic ramming mass material that is fully compatible with the furnace capacity. It is super snow white crystalline quartz containing 99.90% Silicon dioxide (sio2). It is free from Iron content, manufactured under strict quality control and calcined to eliminate the spalling tendency in stabilized form, where silica neither expands nor contract. It absorbs the higher amount of temperature upto l720oc. It plays an essential role in steel melting also through induction Furnace. It maintains the product quality and provide you always crack less product irrespective of power supply.
Furnace Specific BenefitsVarious grades of Ramming Mass Keeping in view the different needs, different types of scraps, end products and several other factors, we have got different grades: Normal: This is the widely used grade of Silica Ramming Mix. Silica content here is in the range of 98.50 % to 99.50 %. This is the cheapest grade available. But performance is the best in its category. Normal Premix: This is the pre mixed version. We mix Boric Acid as per customer requirements, although most common in India is 1.1 %. Prefixed Ramming mass we have been the leaders in Promoting premixed use in big capacity induction furnaces. Our all the grades are available in premixed versions also.
Proper mixing of binder leading to optimum mixture. Less wastage, as mixing is done by machines. Only use imported Boric Acid is used to give best results. It has consistent and longer lining and patching life. All the various materials from our product portfolio are available in the following packaging: Break bulk loose.50 kg or 25 kg plastic /PP bags. Big Jumbo bags of 1.20 MT to 1.50 MT. Paper bags can also be arranged at an additional cost. For exports the material is stuffed in 20" heavy duty containers, accommodating upto 27 MT of material. Palletisation and fumigation is also available. Packed Ramming Mass Packaging are subject to normal aging and products in bags should not be stored longer than 6 months. Information concerning waste management etc. can be found in our safety data sheets. The packaging is selected keeping view the specific needs of the user as well as material. For specific requirements of various chemicals, moisture proof export packing is provided.
For the first new lining, the requirement of Acidic Ramming Mass is almost 50% of the Furnace capacity in weight.
Remove iron or steel contents by powerful magnet.
It is required to be preheated to 700-800 C. So as to eliminate moisture during summer, winter and rainy season. The mass should be preheated at a temperature of 1400 - 1500 C. Later cool it down to 500 -600 C and mix thoroughly with 0.8 to 1.5 percent boric acid according to the size of the crucible.
Usually 12% of boric acid of medical grade is used for furnaces up to 3 tones Capacity.
Always store the Ramming mass in dry and dust free area.
Our Acidic Ramming Mass is used by mixing 0.8% to 1.5% boric acid. Mixing depends on the type of metal such as Low for Steel and high for cast iron melting. Complete lining guidance can be furnished as required according to the size of furnace.
