This grade is usually stabilized against the formation of chromium carbide by adding tantalum and columbium. Some of the industries where this stainless steel is regularly used are oil and gas, aerospace, and chemical processing. This stainless bar is considered for such applications where heating between 800 degrees F and 1650 degree F are needed.
