Chrome Molybdenum steel plate (often referred to in the industry as Chrome Moly) is used for a wide variety of applications particularly in the oil and gas industry, the nuclear industry and fossil fuel power stations. The molybdenum provides increased strength and higher working temperatures whilst the chromium facilitates excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation. With such high temperature tensile strength and anti-corrosive properties, our chrome molybdenum is also highly effective in salt water applications.
