1,4-dimethoxybenzene is obtained from hydroquinone & is solid crystalline mass, white in color with pleasant sweet odor. It is used in synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredient medodrine. It is also used as intermediate to manufacture cme, cmeb, dmavs which further used to manufacture dyes & pigments.
