Mr. Sunil Kumar Gupta is the founder and director of ExportersIndia.Com, a leading B2B marketplace empowering SMEs and MSMEs. He keeps a close tab on the budget announcements and decodes what it holds for these sectors. He has shared his views of the support extended by the government to the MSME sector in this year’s Interim Budget.

Mr. Sunil Kumar Gupta has studied the Interim Budget announced by India’s Finance Minister in February this year. He believes that the government showed much support to the micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The budget announced that the SMEs that are registered under the Goods and Services Tax will get two percent interest rebate on incremental loan of Rs one crore. This was a positive step. He further shared his views in an article published on Financial Chronicle, a part of Deccan Herald, titled ‘MSME remains a focus sector for government’.

Mr. Sunil Kumar Gupta has shared his views on the focus of the government on MSMEs. He had said, “In government projects, the decision to source 25 percent material from SMEs, 3 percent from only women-owned SMEs is a case of lead by example and would usher more opportunities to the doorsteps of SMEs.”
