The Slub yarns are also very much susceptible to damage during their usage due to the lack of migration of the fibres in the base and the injected yarns. Despite all the properties of Slub yarn, they are all tensile sensitive in nature.
Ground Slub yarn is a simple yet fancy type of yarn whose appearance is attained due to the variation of linear yarn density during the spinning process. A ground Slub yarn is formed out of a single structure that eventually has two parts. The two parts are Slub part and base yarn part. Depending upon the group section or in simple words diameter, Neps can be further classified into three different types. Their usages are mentioned below.
Small NepsThe small Neps are the ones whose diameter is less than 0.3 mm, due to their size and mass they are the most difficult to remove.
Medium Sized NepsThe medium sized Neps are the ones whose diameter are ranged between 0.4-0.9 mm and are usually efficiently removed during the method of carding.
Large NepsThe large Neps are the ones whose diameter is 1 mm or above that, and this one is removed most easily due to the size and relatively dense mass during the method of carding.

There are two types of melange yarns Blended Melange Yarns and Non-blended melange yarns.
In blended melange yarns, there can be two different categories of fibers and the colors can also be different. The major blended melange yarn types are cotton-polyester melange yarns and cotton-viscose melange yarns. The percentage of the different fibers remains in the mixture as 50-50, 70-30, 80-20 and so forth.
In non-blended melange yarns, only pure fibers are used. Same category of fibers with different colors can be used in non-blended melange yarns. The most popular non-blended melange yarns are 100% cotton and 100% polyester.
