Acne is the term used to denote any eruptions on the face of the adolescents. Acne is a disease condition in which the hair follicles are obstructed from drainage of skin dead cells and the oily secretion (sebum). Because of the hair follicles getting filled, papules and pustules are also formed along with the Acneiform eruptions. There are two variants of Acne Acne Vulgaris : This is commonly referred to as Acne Acne Rosacea : Denoted as Rosacea. Acne Vulgaris : In this variant, Small cysts (comedones) are formed in hair follicles by the accumulation of keratinous material(skin dead cells) and sebum due to the increase in sebum production by the sebaceous glands after puberty. Acne vulgaris is commonly distributed on face, upper back and chest. The acne(comedones) are open and closed, reddish papules, pustules and cysts. The closed acne (closed comedones) are called as whitehead and the open acne(open comedones) are called as the blackhead. Acne Rosacea : Acne Rosacea is found in blush areas of cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. So as to say, Rosacea predominantly affects the central face. Acne appears reddish, with spider-webs like the appearance of veins(telangiectases), papules and pustules. Rosacea do not have comedones as in Acne Vulgaris.

Causes: The exact cause of eczema is yet not known. Eczema is because of the inflammatory and immune-mediated response to an irritant or allergen. It is also commonly seen in individuals who have a family history of eczema or some allergies. Symptoms: Eczema rash can be seen anywhere on the body. Eczema is found on the neck, flexures of the elbow and flexures of the knee(behind the knee). Signs and symptoms of eczema : Reddish skin with burning sensation.Itching and if it is scratched, fluid may ooze or crusts may form.In severe stage of eczema, cracks and cuts may form.Eczema is one of the common skin disorder. It affects children and adults equally. But the chronicity of eczema is seen more in adults. More commonly men are affected than female.

Psoriasis is a common chronic skin disease which is seen as patches which are silvery-white on reddish inflammatory skin. These silvery scales are the dead skin cells which fall off on its own or on scratching. Psoriasis is pronounced as soriasis and it is noticed on the extensor areas of the joints such as outside of elbows and knees, on bony surfaces, and followed by spread to other parts of the body. What causes Psoriasis? Psoriasis is supposed to be an autoimmune disease with its impression majorly on the skin. Autoimmunity in patients with Psoriasis causes the body defense to act against its own normal mechanism and as a result there is improper immune reaction which leads to rapid growth and death of skin cells represented in the form of silvery-white skin flakes. Other that autoimmune mechanism, Psoriasis is observed to be caused due to genetic and hereditary factors but the exact cause is yet to be known to the medical science.
