FOLDING (BOLTING) SILO

Pneucon manufactures a wide range of silo bolts. As an industry-leading bolting silo manufacturer, we produce double nib, Single Nib and Four Nib bolting silos. These silos are designed with countersunk heads, cup heads, as well as various other head configurations. We manufacture cup Nib bolts in conventional Mild Steels or even Caron Steels featuring Boron. These are heat treated suitable for greater tensile requirements. You can order various stock sizes for silo bolts at Pneucon. Before you order any bolting silo, ensure that you check the popular sizes available. In the case of single nibbed bolts and double nibbed bolts, there are quite a many combinations available for head styles, thread types and thread lengths. Thus, we usually do not keep a stock range. However, stocks are held for supplying to clients based on schedule requirements. Stock sizes range from M4 to M16 as well as the Imperial counterparts.

Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying

Dense Phase Pressure Conveying Systems generally use compressed air at above 1 Bar g to push materials from a Pressure Vessel (also known as a sender unit or pressure pot) through a pipeline to the destination where the air and product are separated by a filter or other system. The product extrudes through the pipeline, initially at low velocity, and gradually accelerating towards the destination.

Systems generally operate on a batch basis as follows: (simplified)

- Fill the sender unit with product to be conveyed.- Pressurise with compressed air.- Open discharge valve until the product has been conveyed out.- Close discharge valve and refill vessel.
A panel of valves and sensors are used to control the air pressures and velocities at all parts of the system to ensure smooth reliable conveying of the product.

Applications

Dense Phase Pressure Conveying Systems are particularly suitable for systems, which convey materials at high capacities over long distances, to multiple destinations. Most systems include several air control valves and the high pressure compressed air supply is able to overcome the pressure drop generated by the most difficult materials, while also providing controlled conveying for friable materials. The lower convey velocities also extend the service life for systems conveying abrasive materials.

VACUUM DENSE PHASE SYSTEM

Dense Phase Vacuum Conveying Systems use high capacity vacuum pumps (up to 99% Vacuum) to convey materials from a feed hopper or silo to a Receiving Vessel (also known as a Vacuum Hopper) where the air and product are separated by a filter. When this vessel is full, the vacuum is isolated and the conveyed product discharged into the destination silo. The product conveys through the pipeline at a controlled low velocity, usually in a fluidised state to reduce friction and pressure drop.
- The vacuum pump sucks powder to the Vacuum Hopper until full.- The vacuum isolation valve closes and the discharge valve opens.- Conveyed powder is emptied from the Vacuum Hopper.- The discharge valve is closed and the cycle repeats.

Dense Phase Vacuum Conveying Systems are particularly suitable for systems, which convey materials at high capacities over short to medium distances, from multiple sources to a single or multiple destinations.The low convey velocities and vacuum method make it particularly suitable for Food, Dairy and Pharmaceutical applications with friable or fragile agglomerated powders.

Fly Ash Handling System

Timely execution of mega-projects in construction Industries has led to paradigm shift with introduction of Batching plant and its product viz; RMC However two basic inputs to RMC viz cement and Fly ash are received at site in Bulkers or in bags The optimum productivity of Batching plant depends on how fast the cement / fly ash is received at site and is transferred to Batching Silo. PNEUCON has designed, manufactured and supplied user friendly system mounted on a skid; it will have options to both modes of Cement / fly ash input i.e. loose in Bulkers or material received in Bags. Conveying from Bulker to Main Silo is achieved by diverting the voluminous air flow at around 1 Kg /Cm2 Pressure. The bulker is aerated and pressurized. Opening of Bottom Valve allows cement / fly ash to fall directly in dispatch pipe. The air flow carries the material to the main Silo. The conveying rate achieved is 30 - 32 Tons per hour. When cement / fly ash is received at site in Bags, then they are manually taken to a hopper. Bags are slit and loose material is dumped in to the hopper. A specially, designed screw feeder and low pressure air insertion ensures measured flow of material in to the discharge pipe line The cement / fly ash dropped in discharge pipe are pushed ahead to main silo with the pressure of 1 Kg/Cm2. Dust Collector

The WP baghouse filter is built for large industrial dust collection applications and requires a support structure. This filter is a primary dust collector with bag section on top which uses reverse air for cleaning of the bags. Dust is pulled from inside the bags and blown back into the cyclone section at the bottom of the primary filter.

Considering a Dust Collection System?

A complete dust collection system will improve indoor air quality by removing dust from a series of work stations, machines and tools. Furthermore, one large centrally ducted dust collection system addresses the need for using an industrial air cleaner on each workstation.
One large central dust collector system can often do the work of dozens of smaller, individual air cleaners, providing complete industrial plant dust collection for the entire facility.
Central dust collection systems generally consist of large media dust collectors (such as cartridges or bag houses) with an inertial separator used as a pre-sorter (such as a cyclone or drop out box). The pre-sorter removes large chips, and then the media filtration removes fine particles. Large chips are collected in bins or drums.
Filtration media often uses some form of cleaning such as mechanical shaking or a sudden pulse of air that knocks built up dust cake from the filters. Electrostatic precipitators are rarely used for large dust collectors, since they do not have the capacity to store a large volume of dust. Though, electrostatic air cleaners are frequently used alongside central systems to clean atmospheric background dust that is not captured by the ducted system.

Advantages of a Central Dust Collection System

- Waste Removal: As dusty air is filtered, waste dust is collected in bines, drawers or hoppers. Waste removal from one location verses many locations is easier and thus more cost effective.
- Equipment Cost: Often the deciding factor when choosing a dust collection solution. Depending on the cost of ductwork and installation, a central dust collection system can initially cost less than purchasing 12 or more individual dust collectors.
- Filter Replacement: Replacing filters from 12 or more separate machines will cost more than regular filter replacement of one large dust collector designed for heavy loads.
- Energy Consumption: Your energy bill will be lower when powering one big dust collector than if you try to power a dozen or so dust collector motors.
- Noise: Imagine the noise from 12 or more dust collector motors and blowers running in a work area. Now take that noise, put it all in one big motor / blower and tuck it away in its own area, away from workers.
- Maintenance: You can go either way on maintenance. With multiple air cleaners, you have that many more parts to replace. With one central dust collector, you only have one set of components to maintain. On the other hand, if your central dust collection system goes down, all workstations go down.

Advantages of a Central Dust Collection System

- Flexibility: A central system is designed for a predetermined situation. It must keep a constant air flow and air to cloth ratio. If you need to add machines or move stations, the system must be re-engineered.
- Downtime: In using one dust collection system for an entire network of machines, downtime for the air cleaner means downtime for all workstations.
- Design & Installation: In order to function, a dust collection system must be designed carefully taking in account airflow requirements for each workstation, media filtration requirements, size and amount of ductwork and pressure drop of filters.
- Air Balancing: Ducts have adjustable dampers at each work station that are set by a technician for optimum air pressure balance throughout the system. Often workers will take it upon themselves to open or close the dampers to adjust airflow going to their station. Unfortunately, this affects the airflow at all other workstations, too. Using one blower, the air must remain balanced and cannot fluctuate to accommodate individual workstations.
- Space Limitation: Floor space and overhead space are needed for a large dust collector and network of ducts. Overhead cranes or tight floor space will not allow for a central ducted dust collection system.
