ASTM A387 Gr.5 Plates

ASTM A387 Gr.9 Plates
ASTM A387 Gr.9 Plates is a flat-rolled product in coils or cut lengths between 1mm to 200mm thickness. ASTM A387 Gr.9 Plates is produced in nearly all types except the free machining and certain martens tic grades. ASTM A387 Gr.9 Plates from the conventional grades is almost exclusively produced on continuous mills. The steel is cast in ingots, and the ingots are rolled on a slabbing mill or a blooming mill into slabs or Plate. The slabs or Plate are then conditioned prior to being hot rolled on a finishing mill. Alternatively, the steel may be continuous cast directly into slabs that are ready for hot rolling on a finishing mill. The current trend worldwide is toward greater production from continuous cast slabs. ASTM A387 Gr.9 Plates produced from slabs on continuous rolling mills is coiled directly off the mill.

ASTM A387 Gr.91 Plates

PIYUSH STEEL has an extensive inventory of 2205 Duplex steel plate in thicknesses from 3/16" through 3". The yield strength is about twice that of austenitic stainless steels, thus allowing a designer to save weight and making the alloy more cost competitive when compared to 316L or 317L.
Duplex Steel 2205 Plate (UNS S32205/S31803) is a 22% chromium, 3% molybdenum, 5-6% nickel, nitrogen alloyed duplex stainless steel with high general, localized, and stress corrosion resistance properties in addition to high strength and excellent impact toughness. Duplex Steel 2205 Plate (UNS S32205/S31803) provides pitting and crevice corrosion resistance superior to 316L or 317L austenitic stainless steels in almost all corrosive media. It also has high corrosion and erosion fatigue properties as well as lower thermal expansion and higher thermal conductivity than austenitic.
