Clinching is a simple and cost-effective methods for sheet material assembly. It does not require any rivets or screws or other separate fasteners. It does not require any complex systems for high power and cooling which are typical for spot welding installations. The reason is that clinching equipment generally is driven by simple compressed air or from the mains.
Clinching generates a rivet-like joint from the sheets to be assembled through plastic cold flow in a punching and squeezing sequence.

The MOUSE ALS system is composed by a metallic C frame with a hydraulic piston and a low pressure safe approach system. The operator will work with a double pedal in order to activate the low pressure approach for first and then to execute the clinching using a round or trapezoidal point. The machine is supplied including a weight support, a pressure multiplier and a pedal gauge. According to the customers need, the C-frame structure can be supplied with different depth of the throat.

Booster or multiplier of air pressureOur pressure multiplier is made up of a hydro-cylinder which by using compressed air (installed in each unit) increases the pressure of the oil in the same site by a factor of 60 (e.g. for 1 bar of pressurized air you can achieve 60 bars of oil, so for a standard pressure of just 6 bar you can obtain 360 bar of compressed oil).Jurado Toolshas designed the system is for an optimum power supply for the clamps and therefore for thejoining of metal plates. The amount of force and power used in the clamps can be adjusted on the booster. How this is done is described in the instructions for use which are supplied with every purchasedcold welding machine. The Mouse X-60 LA is a clamp composed by a metallic C-frame structure (with 60 mm depth of the throat) with hydraulic piston and a rotating opening system that allows the insertion of the tool in a work position by turning the handle in order to overstep the frontal obstacle. The tool can be started with a pneumatic pedal or with the trigger on the handle. The Mouse X-60 can be supplied with different types of tool kits in order to perform round clinching point and trapezoidal clinching point with different height of the die according to the thickness of the sheet metal to join. On request it can be provided with a balancer.

The MOUSE LA system is a set of personalized machines according to the client needs with opening by rotation of the frontal side of the equipment in order to overstep an obstacle. Height and throat depth are realized according to the user request, as well as the hydraulic thrust can change depending on specific request. Our dynamic technical staff is at disposition of the customer to study and propose the most suitable situation for the required application. With the Mouse LA tools it is possibile to realize both round and trapezoidal points for different sheet metal thiknesses and with various sizes. The Mouse machines can be supplied both in statical version and portable with balancer. The activation of the machine can be positioned both in the handle or in a pneumatic pedal.
