Tin Ingots

  • Application Industrial
Properties
Tin is a soft, malleable, ductile and highly crystalline silvery-white metal. When a bar of tin is bent, a crackling sound known as the "tin cry" can be heard from the twinning of the crystals.Tin melts at low temperatures of about 232 deg C (450 deg F), the lowest in group 14. The melting point is further lowered to 177.3 degC (351.1 deg F) for 11 nm particles.

Commercial grades of tin 99.85% resist transformation because of the inhibiting effect of the small amounts of bismuth, antimony, lead, and silver present as impurities. Alloying elements such as copper, antimony, bismuth, cadmium, and silver increase its hardness. Tin tends rather easily to form hard, brittle intermetallic phases, which are often undesirable. It does not form wide solid solution ranges in other metals in general, and few elements have appreciable solid solubility in tin. Simple eutectic systems, however, occur with bismuth, gallium, lead, thallium and zinc.

Generally major Tin Ingot Manufacturers are in indonesia. We at Phoolchand Bhagatingh are leading Tin ingot importers of India. We are supplying tin ingot to multiple consumers all over india.

  • 80-20
  • 90-10

Cadmium Ingots are of different weigths : 4-5 kg, 8 kgs, 10 kgs , 12 kgs, 15 kgs & 20 kgs. Per ingot
Cadmium Jumbo are range : 600 kgs- 800 kgs per jumbo

About

Cadmium is a white-silvery metal that is relatively rare and can also be poisonous. Cadmium is often used in the electrical, HVAC, and welding industries. Cadmium has a low melting temperature and tarnishes in moist air; it is ductile and very malleable. Cadmium has a very high neutron absorbing cross-section and as a result is used for neutron shielding in the nuclear industry.

Production

India is amongst the biggest consumers of Cadmium. Cadmium producing countries are such as South Korea, China, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Netherlands, Peru and Mexico.

There are rare ores that contain cadmium. This mineral is produced as a by-product from zinc's sulfide ores mining, smelting and refining. Therefore, it is mainly produced in areas where zinc is refined. When the iron and steel scrap are recycled, the dust is generated, which is regarded as a secondary source for the production of small amounts of cadmium.

Application

  • Hydrated cadmium sulfate (3CdSO4-5H2O), one of cadmium's compounds, is used in a device called a Weston cell, a type of battery that produces a precise voltage used to calibrate medical and laboratory equipment.
  • In 2009, 86% of cadmium was used in batteries, predominantly in rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries Cadmium is commonly used in electric batteries, pigments, coatings, and electroplating. Cadmium electroplating, consuming 6% of the global production, is used in the aircraft industry to reduce corrosion of steel components.
  • Cadmium Used in Imitation jewellery.
  • Cadmium is alloyed with silver to form solder, a metal with a relatively low melting point used to join electrical components, pipes and other metallic items. Cadmium based solders must be handled with care to prevent cadmium poisoning. Cadmium alloys are also used to make low friction bearings that are highly resistant to fatigue.
  • Cadmium sulfide (CdS), another cadmium compound, is a yellow powder that is used as a pigment. Other cadmium compounds are used in the phosphors of black and white television sets and in the blue and green phosphors in color television sets.
  • Cadmium compounds are applicable in black and white television phosphors as well as blue and green phosphors for color TV picture tubes.

Nitrited Low Carbon Ferro Chrome

Description

Ferro Titanium is a ferro alloy that is made of elements, such as titanium and iron, with occasional trace carbon. In the induction furnace, titanium bearing material along with iron or steel is melted to obtain Ferro Titanium. It forms insoluble compounds by reacting with sulfur, carbon, oxygen and nitrogen. This ferro alloy has high strength, low density and good resistance against corrosion. Several titanium bearing materials are titanium scrap, leucoxene, rutile, titanium sponge, ilmenite, etc. Ferro titanium of several grades and specifications are produced ny either melting the titanium bearing material in induction furnace or by aluminothermic method. Different grades can be produced, each has specific applications, for instance:

  • 20-25% Ti is meant to be used in foundries
  • 35-40% Ti for welding
  • 70% Ti for SS production

Applications

  • It is used in steel and stainless steel processing units for the production of low carbon steels and as a stabilizer to prevent formation of chromium carbide at grain boundaries.
  • It is used as additives in the production of special steel and flux-cored wire.
  • It finds use in military as well as commercial aircrafts.
  • It is used in products, like varnishes, lacquers and paints.
  • It can be added to the molten metal together with titanium in foundry to impart strength to it without changing other ratios.

SPECIFICATION:-
  • Ti : 30-35% / Ti : 68 -72 %
