Heavy Power Suspended Magnets are designed for extraction of tramp iron from materials conveyed in heavy burden depths on almost any type of conveyor of chutes. This unit simply suspends above the conveyor belt or the head pulley and lifts tramp metal from the product burden as it passes through the powerful magnetic field. It Removes iron from material in process such as nut, bolt, foundry sand, glass cullet etc.
Pot magnets (also known as holding magnets) are available basically into three material types and there is a great variety of size available.
1) Ferrite Pot Magnet - This material offers a good performance from an inexpensive magnet, however, they tend to be bulky and are not always suitable where space is an important factor. The steel parts are plated & the Ferrite is inert thus corrosion is limited. Maximum operating temperature is +120 C.
2) Alnico Pot Magnet - This material offers a better holding force than Ferrite systems and is the only pot magnet that can be heated to extreme temperatures. However, the high cost of the Cobalt content in the cast magnet makes the price prohibitive unless the application requires temperatures over +120C up to a maximum of +500C.
3) Rare Earth Pot Magnet - This material offer up to eleven times the performance of a Ferrite system in a comparable size. Applications tend to be specialized engineering projects where performance and available space are key factors. Maximum operating temperatures are +60C for the Neodymium and +150C - +250C for the Samarium depending on the design configuration.
Deep-reach separators use a plate-magnet-style circuit but incorporate it into a vertical chute. Two large magnet assemblies are affixed to opposite sides of a stainless-steel chute and attract ferrous contamination as material flows by the chute. The magnetic circuit is designed for an exceptionally deep reach into the product flow, which makes these separators effective at removing large, chunky tramp metal. It works well when sticky products do not readily flow down sloped chutes. It is ideal for use in powdery, lumpy or moist materials when large tramp metal like nuts or bolts threaten production or product purity.
Rotary Grate Magnetic Separator is made of stainless steel house and powerful magnetic grid that can rotate by motor driving. The unit rotates a number of powerful magnetic tubes while the product passes through. The magnetic action attracts and holds the unwanted ferrous particles, and the rotary action prevents the product from packing the process stream by breaking apart lumps and cohesive materials. It s ideal for removing ferromagnetic contamination from super fine, high viscosity or poor fluidity materials that is prone to clogging, caking or bridging.
Overband Separators are designed to eliminate tramp metal from the product carried by belt, vibratory feeders or inclined planes. The permanent Magnetic Overband Separators are used when an automatic removal of ferrous contamination is necessary. It serves for cleaning non-magnetic bulk goods with iron contamination. They pick up ferrous metal parts from bulk goods. The efficiency depends on the pole size, pole distance field intensity in the conveyor burden, lines of the magnetic flux conveying speed and properties of the material to be separated. Generally installs above conveyor belts, vibratory feeders or chutes. It is used to protect Machine such as Crushers, Shredders and others.
Plate magnets are an inexpensive form of magnetic protection against occasional tramp iron contamination. The plate magnets can be used in a wide range of industries and are commonly installed within a chute or over a conveyor and below the flow installations where the product flows over the magnet face. Magnetic plates can be manufactured with either a strontium ferrite, or a high-intensity neodymium iron boron (rare earth) magnet system. It is used within a chute or over a conveyor.
Aerodynamically shaped with a solid stainless steel nose cone, the flow through design of the Bullet Magnet allows the magnet to be used anywhere in a pneumatic line system. It can be used ahead of processing equipment and bulk load out to assure product purity and protect machinery from tramp metal damage.
corrosion resistant channel magnets have magnetic holding force the full length of the magnet and come with pre-drilled, counter-sunk, holes in the channel for mounting to a tool bench, wall or machine. A strong ceramic or rubber magnet is fixed into a zinc-plated steel channel to form a latch magnet assembly with holding power on one large surface. It features a centre hole for mounting.
These are widely used in ceramic industries & are supplied along with aluminum/stainless steel funnels. The magnetic rod consists of corporate modern anisotropic permanent magnets. Iron contamination in ceramic body & glaze is in the form of small particles and are removed when it passes through uniform gap between funnel & magnet.
