Distance Measuring Sensor

  • Size 172 KB, 10186 KB, 6766 KB
In industrial applications, ultrasonic sensors are characterized by their reliability and outstanding versatility. Ultrasonic sensors can be used to solve even the most complex tasks involving object detection or level measurement with millimetre precision, because their measuring method works reliably under almost all conditions. No other measuring method can be successfully put to use on such a wide scale and in so many different applications. The devices are extremely robust, making them suitable for even the toughest conditions. The sensor surface cleans itself through vibration, and that is not the only reason why the sensor is insensitive to dirt. The physical principlethe propagation of soundworks, with a few exceptions, in practically any environment. The measuring method employed by ultrasonic sensors has been viewed as an excessively complex technology, and only used as a last resortas a solution for particularly difficult applications. Those times have long since passed, Ultrasonic sensors have proven their reliability and endurance in virtually all industrial sectors.

  • Cubic type 10x28x16 mm (V3)
  • Ring type Cubic version 12x40x26 mm (F1) 10x28x16 mm (V3) 25x50x10 mm (F33) 30x30x90 mm (Varikont M)
Inductive analog output sensors are used to detect metal objects within specific operating ranges. This object distance is then translated into an analog output signal proportional to distance, making these sensors ideally suited for measuring and control applications. The Pepperl+Fuchs product offering includes operational detection ranges from 2 5 mm, 3 . 8 mm, and 15 . 40 mm. Due to the low temperature deviation of our inductive analog sensor product, only 11000 of the final value per degree Celsius, the sensor remains reliable and accurate even under non-constant ambient conditions.

Diffuse Mode Sensor

  • File Size 3046 KB, 162 KB, 2241 KB
This form of sensing is commonly referred to as the proximity mode. Light from the emitter strikes the target which causes it to become diffused at arbitrary angles. Some light returns directly to the receiver and the target is detected. Factors pertaining to the sensing range are color, size and finish of the target. The actual sensing range for each model is based upon a white test card. The white card has a 90% reflectivity factor and is considered a standard target. Darker colored or matte finished targets provide less reflectivity; therefore the sensitivity must be increased or the entire sensor must be positioned closer to the target. When this situation occurs, care should be taken so that a brighter target in the background is not mistaken as the actual target.Diffused with foreground suppression: Diffused sensors with foreground suppression sensors define a dead-band from the sensors optical window. Objects falling inside this minimum sensing distance are ignoredDiffused with background evaluation: Diffused sensors with background evaluation only evaluate the light reflected by the background . If the sensor is not able to see the background, the output will change state. This is useful in applications with odd shaped targets where the user can not ensure light directed at the target will be reflected back to the sensors

Inclination Sensors

  • Measurement Range 0° . 360°, -15° . +15°, -30° . +30°
Inclination sensors reliably detect inclination angles in plants or machinery. Due to the two-piece mounting concept, F99 series inclination sensors from Pepperl+Fuchs are extremely robust and also suited for harsh outdoor conditions. Thus, they are typically used in mobile equipment applications, such as leveling cranes or mobile work platforms, construction machinery, transport and loading facilities, or renewable energy applications. Measuring range and outputs of the F99 series can be configured individually according to the specific application requirements. For reliable inclination detection in dynamic applications, including wheel loaders or forklifts, the F99-Fusion is an ideal solution. Due to its intelligent Sensor Fusion Algorithm, the inertial measurement unit is able to compensate for external accelerations. So even if a vehicle is braking, accelerating or taking a turn, inclination is detected reliably.

Miniature Sensor

  • Sensor WMV 468KB
The packaging process for machine drills is an application example for the precise detection capabilities of the ML6-8-H background suppression sensor series. First, the completeness of the drill is verified by checking for presence of the drill tip. Here the small, sharp light spot enables proper small parts detection. Next, proper placement of the drill into its packaging is checked. One sensor is triggering on the leading edge of the package and is activated. An additional ML6-8-H photoelectric sensor verifies the presence of the drill in the package's mold from a top-view position. This packaging application demonstrates the very low black-to-white difference and excellent background suppression that is necessary to detect the dark drill in front of the bright packaging material.
