ammonium sulfate is an inorganic sulfate salt obtained by reaction of sulfuric acid with two equivalents of ammonia. a high-melting (decomposes above 280?) white solid which is very soluble in water (70.6 g/100 g water at 0?; 103.8 g/100 g water at 100?), it is widely used as a fertilizer for alkaline soils.
chemical properties
ammonium sulfate, also called diammonium sulfate or sulfuric acid diammonium salt, is a white crystalline solid with no smell. it tastes salty. the compound dissolves easily in water but will not dissolve in alcohol or acetone. it readily absorbs water, so if its exposed to moist air, it will scab on the damp surfaces. the chemical formula for ammonium sulfate is (nh?)?so?. when ammonium sulfate reacts with alkaline substances, it gives off ammonia gas.
use in fertilizers
ammonium sulfate is used most commonly as an artificial fertilizer for alkaline soils. when introduced into damp soil, an ammonium ion is released. this creates a small amount of acid, which lowers the ph balance of the soil. it also contributes nitrogen, which aids in plant growth. it dissolves relatively slowly, which makes it cheaper than some other artificial fertilizers. ammonium sulfate is also used as an herbicide because it will burn the leaves of plants and either kill them outright or at least weaken them for easy removal.
ammonium sulphate
the product ammonium sulphate is composed of 21% nitrogen and 24% sulphur. it is essentially an inorganic salt that is obtained when ammonia is treated with sulphuric acid. ammonium sulphate also occurs in nature as mascagnite which is a rare mineral that can be found in volcanic fumaroles. it is also commonly known as diammonium sulfate or sulfuric acid diammonium salt. ammonium sulfate is a white crystalline solid in appearance. it has no smell and is salty to taste. although it does not cause harm, certain precautions are necessary while handling this chemical. ammonium sulphate has a wide variety of commercial uses, the most common being as soil fertiliser.
usage
the major products that utilise ammonium sulphate can be classified as follows:
fertilisers for crops and lawns.
additives in biotechnical as well as pharmaceutical products.
water treatment products and as an additive in cleaning agents.
no agriculture related business can afford to miss using fertilisers containing ammonium sulphate because they help convert alkaline soil into acidic soil, thus enhancing the overall yield of crops.
the pharmaceutical industry makes use of ammonium sulphate for water purification and in the manufacture of vaccines. ammonium sulphate helps the pharmaceutical industry by salting out excess proteins and contaminants.
ammonium sulphate also works as an excellent decontaminant. as such, it is used in detergents, toothpaste, shampoo, dental cleansers and a host of other household cleaning products. it can also soften water excellently.

.talc powder
hs code 25262000
using talc as filler in paper imparts valuable properties to the final product
1.improved printability
it makes the paper smooth and slippery due to which it runs smoothly through the printing process.
it offers compressibility which ensures maximum ink transfer thereby improving opacity of printing and allowing minimum mottling, smearing or missing dots.
2.better look and feel
talc is high in whiteness and thus results in high whiteness of the paper. talc adsorbs the optical brighteners and/or color coatings added to the paper due to which they stay on the surface of the paper, providing maximum effect.
its smoothness and slipperiness gives good finish to the paper.
3.improved strength and durability
talc offers high paper strength potential which implies that one can load high amounts of the filler with minimum compromise on the final strength of the paper.
barrier coatings are often added to the paper to impart durability. talc minimizes water vapor transmission from the paper, thereby further enhancing the sealing effect of the coatings.
4.improves efficiency of the paper making process itself
talc is hydrophobic in nature and therefore permanently absorbs organic particles present in paper pulp called pitch (or stickies, if they are tacky in behaviour) into its molecular layers. such particles would otherwise adversely impact the paper making process.
talc is soft and therefore causes minimum wear and tear of machines through the paper making process.
talc improves drainage of water thereby allowing the paper to dry quickly. further it minimizes loss of other substances during drainage.
for use in paper industry, pulverized material of 300 bss sieve is required, which is free from gritty material and contains low levels of caco3 and feo.
we can access every suitable grade of talc and blend them to your requirement with consistency, perfection and cost effectiveness.

Chemical Formula: C3H8O
Other Names: 2-propanol, sec-propyl alcohol, IPA, or isopropanol
Description
Isopropyl alcohol (IUPAC name propan-2-ol; commonly called isopropanol) is a compound with the chemical formula C3H8O. It is a colorless, flammablechemical compound with a strong odor. As an isopropyl group linked to a hydroxyl group, it is the simplest example of a secondary alcohol, where the alcoholcarbon atom is attached to two other carbon atoms. It is a structural isomer of 1-propanol and ethyl methyl ether.
It is used in the manufacture of a wide variety of industrial and household chemicals, and is a common ingredient in chemicals such as antiseptics, disinfectants and detergents
Properties
Isopropyl alcohol is miscible in water, ethanol, ether, and chloroform.
It will dissolve ethyl cellulose, polyvinyl butyral, many oils, alkaloids, gums and natural resins.
Unlike ethanol or methanol, isopropyl alcohol is not miscible with salt solutions and can be separated from aqueous solutions by adding a salt such as sodium chloride. The process is colloquially called salting out, and causes concentrated isopropyl alcohol to separate into a distinct layer.
Isopropyl alcohol forms an azeotrope with water, which gives a boiling point of 80.37 C (176.67 F) and a composition of 87.7 wt% (91 vol%) isopropyl alcohol. Water-isopropyl alcohol mixtures have depressed melting points.[9] It has a slightly bitter taste, and is not safe to drink.[9][10]
Isopropyl alcohol becomes increasingly viscous with decreasing temperature and will freeze at 89 C (128 F).
Isopropyl alcohol has a maximum absorbance at 205 nm in an ultraviolet-visible spectrum.
ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL USES AND APPLICATION
Solvent
Isopropyl alcohol dissolves a wide range of non-polar compounds. It also evaporates quickly, leaves nearly zero oil traces, compared to ethanol, and is relatively non-toxic, compared to alternative solvents. Thus, it is used widely as a solvent and as a cleaning fluid, especially for dissolving oils.
Medical
Isopropyl alcohol is used as a water-drying aid for the prevention of otitis externa, better known as swimmers ear.
Early uses as an anesthetic
Although isopropyl alcohol can be used for anesthesia, its many negative attributes or drawbacks prohibit this use. Isopropyl alcohol can also be used similarly to ether as a solvent or as an anesthetic by inhaling the fumes or orally. Early uses included using the solvent as general anesthetic for small mammals and rodents by scientists and some veterinarians. However, it was soon discontinued, as many complications arose, including respiratory irritation, internal bleeding, and visual and hearing problems. In rare cases, respiratory failure leading to death in animals was observed.
Laboratory
As a biological specimen preservative, isopropyl alcohol provides a comparatively non-toxic alternative to formaldehyde and other synthetic preservatives. Isopropyl alcohol solutions of 7099% are used to preserve specimens.

Uses
Trisodium phosphate was at one time extensively used in formulations for a variety of consumer-grade soaps and detergents, and the most common use for trisodium phosphate has been in cleaning agents. The pH of a 1% solution is 12 (i.e., very basic), and the solution is sufficiently alkaline to saponify grease and oils. In combination with surfactants, TSP is an excellent agent for cleaning everything from laundry to concrete driveways.
TSP is commonly used after cleaning a surface with mineral spirits to remove hydrocarbon residues and may be used with household chlorine bleach in the same solution without hazardous reactions.[citation needed] This mixture is particularly effective for removing mildew, but is less effective at removing mold.[citation needed]
Although it is still the active ingredient in some toilet bowl-cleaning tablets, TSP is generally not recommended for cleaning bathrooms because it can stain metal fixtures and can damage grout.

SULPHURIC ACID
HS Code: 28070010
Description
Sulfuric acid (alternative spelling sulphuric acid), also known as vitriol, is a mineral acid composed of the elements sulfur, oxygen and hydrogen, with molecular formula H2SO4. It is a colorless, odorless, and syrupy liquid that is soluble in water, in a reaction that is highly exothermic.
Its corrosiveness can be mainly ascribed to its strong acidic nature, and, if at a high concentration, its dehydrating and oxidizing properties. It is also hygroscopic, readily absorbing water vapor from the air.Upon contact, sulfuric acid can cause severe chemical burns and even secondary thermal burns; it is very dangerous even at moderate concentrations.
Properties
Chemical formula: H2SO4
Molar mass: 98.079 g/mol
Appearance: Clear, colorless liquid
Odor: odorless
Density: 1.8302 g/cm3, liquid

Uses
Sulphuric Acid is used in chemical industry for production of detergents, synthetic resins, dyestuffs, pharmaceuticals, petroleum catalysts, insecticides and antifreeze, as well as in various processes such as oil well acidicizing, aluminium reduction, paper sizing, water treatment. About 6% of uses are related to pigments and include paints, enamels, printing inks, coated fabrics and paper, and the rest is dispersed into a multitude of applications such as production of explosives, cellophane, acetate and viscose textiles, lubricants, non-ferrous metals, and batteries.
Industrial cleaning agent
Sulfuric acid is used in large quantities by the iron and steelmaking industry to remove oxidation, rust, and scaling from rolled sheet and billets prior to sale to the automobile and major appliances industry.[citation needed] Used acid is often recycled using a spent acid regeneration (SAR) plant. These plants combust spent acid[clarification needed] with natural gas, refinery gas, fuel oil or other fuel sources. This combustion process produces gaseous sulfur dioxide (SO2) and sulfur trioxide (SO3) which are then used to manufacture "new" sulfuric acid. SAR plants are common additions to metal smelting plants, oil refineries, and other industries where sulfuric acid is consumed in bulk, as operating a SAR plant is much cheaper than the recurring costs of spent acid disposal and new acid purchases.
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) can be added to sulfuric acid to produce piranha solution, a powerful but very toxic cleaning solution with which substrate surfaces can be cleaned. Piranha solution is typically used in the microelectronics industry, and also in laboratory settings to clean glassware.
