Bearings

Our product range contains a wide range of Take Up Unit Bearings, ER Style Bearings, Thrust Bearings, Collar Clamp Ball Bearings and Linear Bushing Bearings

Thrust Bearings

A thrust bearing is a particular type of rotary bearing. Like other rotary bearings they permit rotation between parts, but they are designed to support a high axial load while doing this (parallel to the shaft). Different kinds of thrust bearings are used to support different amounts of axial load. Thrust ball bearings are used in applications that use little axial load, where a ring supports ball bearings. Spherical roller thrust bearings are used in applications that require high axial load, and can also support shafts that are out of alignment. Thrust bearings are used in higher speed applications that require oil lubrication, such as in the automotive and aerospace industries. Generally, thrust bearings are composed of two washers (raceways) in which those for ball bearings may be grooved, and the rolling elements.

Linear Bushing Bearings

Linear bushing bearings and linear way bearings incorporate several rows of recirculating balls or rollers for low friction and precise linear motion. Linear bushing bearings use a round shaft and linear way bearings have a rectangular shaped track. Both the inch and metric types are available as standard, adjustable and open, both with and without selas, depending on the requirements of the applications. The linear way series offers standard, wide, carbon steel and stainless steel variations.

Take Up Unit Bearings

Take-up bearings are mounted bearings consisting of a guide frame, positioning screw, and mounting hardware and are typically used to align conveyor tracks and maintain conveyor belt tension. Our Bearings offers a wide range of take-up bearings units both in inch and metric dimensions. Each are available with or without an eccentric locking collar. Medium Duty, Heavy Duty and other types are available along with various seal options and plated housing options.our takeup units housings are constructed out of cast iron and have a chrome steel bearing as standard.

Er Style Bearings

Er style bearings are insert bearings with an extended inner ring. They are specifically designed for mounting on shafts without using adapters, lock-nuts, or shoulders. They are popular in many applications due to their versatility, and cost effectiveness. The bearing is typically locked in place using setscrews (or a locking eccentric collar). The inner ring usually extends on both sides of the bearing to provide extra shaft support.

Collar Clamp Ball Bearings

Similar to the er series insert bearings, the collar clamp ball bearings are used to easily install a on a shaft with a simple set screw. Essentially, they are "miniature insert bearings" with bores starting at 316 and going up to 12. We offers them with and without snap rings to aid in mounting. The packaging industry among others are frequent users of this type of miniature insert bearing.

Ball Thrust Bearings

Composed of ball bearings supported in a ring, can be used in lower thrust applications where there is little radial load. Washers may be flat or grooved. Miniature thrust bearings starting with bores as small as 2 mm but as large as 340 mm.

Roller Thrust Bearings

Composed of cylindrical rolling elements, Roller thrust bearings have higher load carrying capacities then equally sized ball thrust bearings. Washers are typically flat (not grooved). Small roller thrust bearings start at 45 mm bores.

Miniature Thrust Bearings

some important factors when selecting thrust bearingsthrust bearings must be kept in matched sets.the bore (d dimensions) of one washer (smaller) in the set will conform to the specifications.the bore (d dimension) of the mating washer will be .007" larger because it is a clearance hole for the shaft.

Cylindrical Roller Thrust Bearing

A cylindrical roller thrust bearing is a particular type of roller bearing. Like other roller bearings, they permit rotation between parts, but they are designed to support a high axial load while doing this (parallel to the shaft). Higher speed applications require oil lubrication. Generally, they are composed of two washers (raceways) and the cylindrical roller elements which are typically caged. As opposed to roller thrust bearings, ball thrust bearings can generally operate at higher speeds but at lower loads.

Flanged Mounted Bearing

While other configurations are available from our bearings upon special order, the most common flanged mounted bearing units are either two-bolt or four-bolt designs. Small two-bolt designs are commonly called flangettes but are of a totally different construction and design to the heavier duty two-bolt flange series.
