Alloy MP35N Bar
MP35N is a nickel-cobalt base alloy of the Multiphase alloy system that has a unique combination of properties - ultra high strength, toughness, ductility and outstanding corrosion resistance.
The alloy is work-strengthened and aged to obtain strength levels of 260 to 300 ksi (1793-2086 MPa) in its full strength and stress corrosion cracking resistance (SCC) for harsh environments. MP35N alloy resists corrosion in hydrogen sulfide, salt water and other chloride solutions, as well as the mineral acids (nitric, hydrochloric, sulphuric). In addition, it has exceptional resistance to crevice cracking in seawater and other hostile environments.

PARMANU DHATU NIGAM stocks Cerrobend. A commercial variety of Woods Metal Cerrobend is a Fusible Low Melting Point Alloy and that is most often used for thin-walled metal tube bending, as Cerrobend is an ideal support material. Tubes and pipes can be bent to quite small radii without the risk of buckling or crimping when Cerrobend is used as the filling material during the manufacturing process.
What is Cerrobend ?
Cerrobend is a commercial trade name for Woods Metal. Also known as Lipowitzs Alloy Woods metal is a Eutectic Alloy containing 50% Bismuth 26.7% Led 13.3% Tin & 10% Cadmium by weight. Woods Alloy is named for Barnabas Wood
Woods Metal Cerrobend is commonly used as a low-melting point solder, a low-temperature casting metal, a high-temp coupling fluid in heat baths, and as a meltable valve element in commercial and industrial fire sprinkler systems.

Super Alloy A-286 Bar
A-286 stainless steel (UNS S66286) is a precipitation hardening alloy that combines high strength and good corrosion resistance at temperatures up to 1300f (704c). The super alloy a286 is an iron-based high temperature, high strength alloy with machinability is similar in behavior to the stainless steel 300 series. Super alloy a-286 is suitable for both heavy (1850 - 2200F) and light forgings (1600 - 1850F). Shapes of a286 forgings include flat, round and square bars, rolled rings, disks, hollows and more. Heat Treatment: Solution heat treatment, two methods are suggested.
Heat to 1800f (982c) and hold at heat for one hour then rapid cool.
Second option is heat to 1650f (899c) hold for 2 hours then rapid cool.
The first heat treat is better for stress rupture strength after aging while the second option results in higher hardness and better ductility.

It is also stabilized with Columbium to minimize carbide precipitation during welding. Alloy 20 appears to fall between both the stainless and nickel categories as it contains characteristics of both. It was designed for maximum resistance to acid attack and demonstrates superior resistance to stress-corrosion cracking in boiling 20% to 40% sulfuric acid, and also has excellent general corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid and to chloride stress corrosion cracking. Alloy 20 has good mechanical properties at both ambient and elevated temperatures, up to approximately930F (500C) and is readily fabricated by usual industrial processes.

2618A - a strong aluminium alloy containing nominally 2% copper and 1.5% magnesium.
The alloy is produced as bar, plate, tube and is also available as clad sheet and strip. Solution treated and artificially aged to achieve the T6 condition or with the addition of controlled stretching to achieve the T6511 temper. 2618A can be employed to a maximum of 300C and retains mechanical strength relatively well to around 200C and above. The alloy has a density of 2.75 g/cc.

Grade 7020 is a heat treatable aluminium alloy with zinc added as the main alloying element. This enhances the mechanical property attributes of the material and increases its resistance to fatigue stress.
The 7020 grade is primarily used in aerospace applications and offers a reasonable machinability. As a result the surface finish allows the material to be protective anodised but it will not lend itself to aesthetic anodising.
