Submersible mixers are used in many tasks in sewage treatment works. They prevent deposits from settling in balance tanks; they are also used in biochemical processes at waste water treatment plants (denitrification and de-phosphatation) etc. Besides, they can be used in the agriculture, industry and sewage systems. They are destined to set liquids in motion, homogenize their composition, prevent sedimentation, set the liquid to a specified flow direction and to overcome the resistance of circulating liquid flow in open tanks, ditches, channels. They are also used to intensify physical and chemical processes which are taking place in the liquid and in particular, for solid and gas dissolution. This last process is often used at sewage water aeration where the intensive mixing has to extend the gas bubbles movement lengthening and prevent the small bubbles from binding and converting into big ones. Sometimes mixers, in particular those with high-speed are used to prevent creation and separation of a scum existing on a surface.
