Anti Piping Compound

Exothermic Anti Piping Compound is used in casting of molten metal. Just after pouring, it is important to maintain upper portion of the molten metal at nearly the same temperature as the molten metal in lower layers. This prevents formation of undesirable pipe on the upper layer of the molten metal by keeping its upper layer in molten state. This is achieved by preventing loss of heat through radiation. Thus Exothermic Anti Piping Compound is placed on upper layer of the molten metal. This Exothermic Anti Piping Compound ignites due to temperature of molten metal. This ignition compensates the heat loss and provides Heat Gain through its Exothermic Reaction with molten metal. After burning, the residue expands and forms an insulation layer on the molten metal, preventing loss of heat due to radiation. Thus Heat Gain is achieved and loss of heat is compensated at first and then insulation of molten metal is achieved using Exothermic Anti Piping Compound only.

Ladle Covering Compound

We manufacture covering compounds used in ladle and tundish. Our covering compounds are highly insulating powder, which has very good expandability and spreadability, so that it expands and spreads instantly to cover entire molten steel surface in the ladle and tundish. Purex-301 is highly insulating in nature significantly reducing heat loss due to radiation from the top surface of liquid steel. This results in maintaining consistent temperature in the ladle and also prevents temperature drop and freezing of metal in longer duration casting.Purex-301 also performs an additional task of keeping the ladle clean before lancing process thus avoiding additional slag formation and preventing excess jamming of nozzle. Cover Pink Foundry Flux

Cover Pink is a foundry flux used by aluminium smelting industry. This flux helps higher Aluminium metal recovery from the dross. ‘Cover Pink’ is used in big capacity furnaces like oilelectric furnace. ‘Cover Pink’ spreads over larger area to cover the surface area and increases the temperature of the molten metal slightly, thus reducing density of dross formed in smelting process. Reduced density forces the trapped metal onto the dross to be released and settle into the bottom. This thus reduces loss of metal during drossing process or during dross formation.
