It is ergonomically designed, consisting of a sector pendulum pi voted on anti-friction ba ll bearing on a vertical bracket fixed on a rigid metallic base. The test specimen in shape of a rectangular piece is held between two jaws, one of which is mounted on the pendulum and the other is mounted on the vertical arm. Pilling is a fabric surface fault characterized by little pills of entangled fibres clinging to the surface. To control the sensitivity, there is a 10 step less volume control knob in the equipment.Whenever any garment is moved on the top surface of the machine, then the unit senses for any iron particle or needle. If the garment is free from any broken needle pieces, then the machine indicators do not glow, and the buzzer doesnt activate. In case any broken needle pieces present in any garment then the two indicators glows (on both sides) and buzzer sounds.
