Internal Ply Bond Tester

The Internal Ply Bond Tester is an advanced instrument designed to measure the internal fiber bond strength (also known as Z-direction tensile strength) of paperboard. This tester evaluates the strength of the board in relation to glue bonding, particularly at carton side seams, and can assess potential delamination caused by scoring or the use of high-tack coatings. It is especially useful for evaluating coated materials.

This equipment is commonly used to determine the internal bond strength of paper,  paperboard, and laminates. The readings are conveniently displayed on a digital display panel, with microprocessor models available to connect to a computer and printer for storing and reviewing past results.

Description

This instrument is designed for determining the penetration time of oil and other liquids through paper and other similar materials by the Surface Resistance Time (SORT) taken for 75% of the surface covered by oil through Photo Electric Digital Timer. Cooling system is provided along with constant temperature regulator.

Used for Writing / Printing and Absorbent Kraft Paper.

• The instrument chamber has an orifice for holding the liquid medium and a clamping device for holding the material.
• Penetration time after oil comes in contact with paper is noted by stop watch or electronic timer.

Description:

Elmendorf Type Tear Resistance Tester: It is used for measuring the resistance against tearing of paper, board, plastic films and other similar materials. An initial cut is made in a set of test piece, which are then torn through a given distance.The work done in the test piece is measured as the loss in potential energy of a pendulum which i free to swing on it horizontal axis.A calibrated scale indicates the mean tearing force.

Description:

A laboratory corrugating machine with digital temp. Controller for producing a sample to evaluate flat crush resistance of corrugating medium. 'A' fluting rolls are heated up to 176° C and maintained with a constant digital temperature controller. Standard model available with 'A' flute.

Description

Stainless Steel Freeness Tester for Paper Mills Only Measures the Canadian freeness number which is a measure of the drainage capacity of different pulp types. The drainage rate has been shown to be related to surface conditions and swelling of the fibres. It is also useful index of the amount of mechanical treatment given to the pulp. Instrument is supplied with standard screen plate and plexiglas measuring cylinder for csf valve.

• Canadian freeness tester has its container sealing lids spring loaded and wivel through 90. the lids are opened by means of light pressure on the release handles. The container grip enables easy removal for cleaning.
