This particular genre of the Motion Sensor permits the motion sensor light to be placed anywhere in the premises / vicinity without worrying about the detection pattern. Simply speaking, this technology ensures volumetric detection by the emission of echo waves at 5.8 Ghz unlike the Passive Infrared Motion Sensing technology which is passive in nature and the Field of View has to be concentrated in the direction of motion
