OD Fitting / Female Caps

Generally made out of EPDM, fits on the OD of the pipe. Available in standard sizes to suit the pipe standard ANSI 36.10 (2 to 12). Bigger sizes can also be made to order. ID Fitting / Male Caps

PTFE Sheets are wear resistant and mainly used for corrosion prevention application. Sheets made of PTFE are chemically inert and has excellent frame resistance, extremely abrasion resistance, lowest coefficient of friction and can withstand wide range of temperatures. Maximum long term working temperature is plus 260C.Maximum short termworking temperature is plus 260C. Co-efficient of friction is 0.08. Co-efficient of expansion is 12. PTFE is the chemically inert of the O-ring materials. It is resistant to most chemicals including acids, bases, oils, steam and other chemicals. It is also very tough and abrasive resistant. However the material is not easily compressed, and therefore may not seal as easily as some of the other polymers. Its outstanding tear resistance and abrasive resistance result in its slippery surface properties that make it advantageous for use in seals in moving systems such as mass spectrometer probes and valves.

PTFE is a specially important engineering plastic because of its outstanding lack of friction and slippiness, this is so incredibly low that is has been described as being the slippiest solid material known to man. PTFE is also highly specified due to its very high temperature resistance allowing components to withstand almost double that of other types of engineering plastic. Nylon Sheetis a superb wear and abrasion resistant material and well suited to machining. It has high mechanical strength and good sliding properties. Nylon sheet can be used for pretty much most applications and the natural grade is acceptable with food environments. Typically Nylon Sheet will be used as wear strips or blocks and is very abrasion resistant. Nylon sheet can be machined very easily and provides a smooth surface finish for product contact such as on conveyor systems
