Follicular Unit Strip Surgery, also know as Follicular Unit Transfer Technique (FUT) is a hair transplant technique where a strip of skin along with hair and roots is cutout from the area of head which has dense hair. This procedure may result in slightly more blood loss than FUE technique. The recovery period is also more due. A strip of skin, normally 1-1.5 cms, is extracted from the donor area The Follicular Units are then extracted from this strip The follicular Units extracted from the strip are immediately implanted on to the bald area as per the hair line The donor area from where the strip is extracted is closed using the latest trichophytic closure technique
