VERTICAL CENTRIFUGES

GENERAL FEATURES

In this type of centrifuge, the solid-liquid separation is done through a scraper that cuts the solid cake while the basket is rotating at a slow speed. The solids are then discharged through openings provided in the basket bottom and bottom base/inertia plate.

Feeding Feeding is carried out while the basket is rotating at an appropriate speed. After the required cake is built, the feeding is stopped. The centrifuge continues to run for some time to partially dewater the solids.

Washing After feeding, washing is carried out by pumping wash liquid through the wash pipe.

Spinning The spinning of the basket ensures proper completion of the dewatering process.

Scraping The speed of the basket is reduced to the scraping speed.

PUSHER DRIVE ARRANGEMENT

Orientals pusher centrifuges come with mechanical and hydraulic drive arrangements. The mechanical drive arrangement is offered for those with low to medium capacity requirements, while the hydraulic drive arrangement is provided to larger units with higher capacity requirements.
