The dynamics of combustion of hydrocarbon fuel has forever been a subject of intense research the world over; as also the problems associated with it such as decrease in equipment efficiency through incomplete combustion, consequent carbon deposits and high emission levels.Flux Hi-Tech, Inc. has conducted exhaustive research into the utilization of permanent magnetic fields in alleviating these problems currently associated with hydrocarbon fuel combustion. The FLUX Technology

The most important factors in the flux products are the magnetic field intensity and the collimation of the magnetic lines of flux. It is these two aspects that render the flux products different from any ordinary permanent magnets. The intensity of the magnetic field is far superior to that generated by regular permanent magnets and the collimation of the magnetic fields renders the magnetic lines of flux exactly parallel to each other at extremely high densities ( to the order of millions of lines of flux per sq. cm. ).These devices are external online installations without cutting or modifying the fuel pipes and the magnetic energy generated through the FLUX maxiox ( - series) is rendered concentric and exactly perpendicular to the flow of the fuel.

What is Emulsification?

Emulsification is blending of furnace oil and about 10 % of water with an emulsifying agent. The solution needs to be hated up to 50 Deg.C & mixed properly with circulation pump for 3 to 4 hrs. For proper blending, Emulsified water in furnace oil can be separated with the help of De-emulsifying agent only.

This Emulsified furnace oil can be used directly to any burner without any changes in an existing system, to increase the combustion efficiency of the fuel, resulting in a reduction of F.O. Consumption by approximately 5 to 7%, reducing the fuel cost.

The Emulsion is a stable state for at least one-year, so Emulsified furnace oil needs to be consumed within the period of one year.

For complete combustion of any oil in the burner, fuel needs to be properly atomized in the firing chamber. In major burners this atomization is achieved by the spray nozzle, this is called as primary atomization. With the help of Emulsification, we can achieve secondary atomization of fuel inside the firing chamber which helps incomplete combustion of fuel to increase the overall efficiency of the system.

When flame takes place the water in oil emulsion gets vaporized explosively due to rapid heating, resulting in dispersion within individual fuel droplets. The water vaporization is the conversion of the water droplets to steam, in turn, produces rapid expansions of the surrounding oil droplets resulting in very fine atomization of the fuel, this is called as secondary atomization.

In this state of fuel, effective surface area of fuel droplets increases resulting in complete combustion of fuel. According to National Science Foundation (NSF) study in the USA, the picture shows that droplets of emulsified fuel, 200 microns in size; into a multitude of 1 to 10 micron converted sized fuel droplets i.e. very fine atomization takes place.

This fine atomization helps in the complete combustion of fuel oil increasing the overall efficiency of the system.
