SIMPLE WATER - DRIVEN OPERATION Water passing through Dosamatic drives a piston & down in a reciprocating motion . THis piston in turn drives a small plunger which sucks up chemicals in each upstroke & delivers it at a uniformly adjustable rate . PROPORTIONATE The chemical uptake is directly volumetrically proportion to the water flow . SAVE ON CHEMICAL USAGE Chemical dosing strats only with the water flow, increases & decreasing when flow decreases. This mean only the required quantity ( p. p.m. ) of chemical is dosed, nothing more & nothing less. EASY TO ADJUST / SET A micrometer type internal cylinder can be rotated through 10 turns to set the precise dosing rate even while the pump is in use . EASY TO USE Dosamatic is compact, portable & self priming. Since dosing arrangement is separate from chemical storage, solution tank size can be chosen at will. Also preparation / dilution of chemical solution can be done in the same tank . EASY TO SERVICE Any component of Dosamatic can be opened, inspected & replaced / changed in minutes without tools. A free spares kit comes attached to the pump itself. A user friendly O & M Manual with an exploded view of all parts is provided with each pump for easy dissembly / assembly . Ion exchange technology is used to remove salts (cations and anions) from the water Soluble chemical compounds, when dissolved in water, become ionized; that is their molecules dissociate into positively and negatively charged components called ions. Consider common table salt, sodium chloride. In its solid form, this compound consists of one sodium atom (Na) and one chlorine atom (Cl) tightly coupled together (NaCl). When dissolved in water, however, the compound splits into two ions, Na and Cl. Ion Exchange A process in which Contaminant ions are exchanged from water is called ion exchange. This process occurs in ion exchange resin Initially, resin is loaded with hydrogen (H ) ion for cations and hydroxide (OH-) ion for anions. As water passes through the resin, the contaminant ions in the water displace the loaded ions from the sites on the resin. This is because the resin has a greater affinity for the contaminant ions. Affinity for most resins is based loosely on ionic size and charge
Thermic Fluid is the heating media which transfer the heat in close loop cycle. It is available in two forms………. Mineral heat transfer oil. Synthetic heat transfer oil. Mineral oil can withstand maximum temperature up to 280˚C. Synthetic oil can withstand maximum temperature up to 310˚C. Continuous use of thermic fluid systems results in to deteriorating of Thermic fluid. The main causes for deterioration are oxidation & cracking. Oxidation: Oxidation at higher temperatures causes formation of sticky carbon. This causes choking of the system & reduced heat transfer efficiency & also produces acidic products. These add to viscosity of the oil along with increase in corrosion rate at internal parts of thermic fluid heating system.
