Fibre-Reinforced Plastic (FRP) or Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) is a composite material made of a polymer matrix reinforced with fibre.
Generally the fibres are of glass, carbon, basalt or aramid, however other fibres such as paper or wood or asbestos have also been used. FRPs/GRPs are commonly used in the aerospace, automotive, marine, and construction industries. NTF produces following parts using FRP/GRP technologies.
For manufacture of parts with Hand Lay-up process the mould is first applied with gel coat and then chopped strand glass mat or woven rovings or glass fabrics are laid with consistently mixed resin and curatives manually with the help of brush.
At NTF we Manufacture Glass fibre reinforced parts by hand lay-up process using catalyst dispensing machine fed with sophisticated resin, as large as 35 x 14 x 14 feet for wind mill application.
AdvantagesWith the growth of the industry the long-fibre technologies havealso developed at a fast pace including thermosets notably long-fibre injection (LFI) of fast-curing two-part polyurethanes in the automotive market.

Vacuum forming is a technique that is used to shape a variety of plastics. In school it is used to form/shape thin plastic, usually plastics such as; polythene and perspex. Vacuum forming is used when an unusual shape like a dish or a box-like shape is needed. Below you can see the stages involved in vacuum forming.
A typical robotic laser cutting system consists of a servo-controlled, multiaxis mechanical arm that has a laser cutting head mounted to the robot's faceplate. The cutting head has focusing optics for the laser light and often an integral height control mechanism.
An assist gas delivery package distributes a cutting gas, such as oxygen or nitrogen, to the cutting head. Most systems use an Nd:YAG laser generator, which can deliver the laser light to the robot cutting head through a fiber-optic cable.

Co2 based fire control System (Automatic)The paint shop is equipped with pressurized Co2(Carbon di oxide) line fed by an external Co2 cylinder bank. Although, the anti-fire system equipped with smoke detectors and fire alarm is an automatic system, if situation demands, it can also be operated manually.
Water based fire control System (Manual)The paint shop is also installed with manually operated pressurised water sprinkler system. Powered by high power water pumping system, the setup is capable of controlling fire related menaces.
EarthingAll painting equipments and conveyors have been installed in a proper circuit with proper earthing. This ensures safety in case of any static charge that might culminate while operating electrical equipments.
Fire extinguisherFire extinguishers are installed at various locations across the facility. The fire extinguisher cylinders are checked at regular intervals to ensure complete safety.
Emergency exitIn case of any emergency a person can safely leave the paint booth via 2 exit points located at the ends of the booth.

The electrical power meter, Xpert is a micro-controller based unit which measures various electrical parameters, and sequentially displays on a 128X64 backlit LCD.
The unit measures the three phase voltages, currents, frequency, power factors, individual Harmonic data as Histogram including Total Harmonic Distortion as well as individual current and voltage waveforms for all three phases. Based on these inputs, the system KVA, KW and KWh can also be calculated.
For the correct operation of the unit, the only basic care required is to ensure that the phase sequence of the three phases is R-Y-B and the polarity of the CT secondary is correct.
The unit is fully solid state and will give years of trouble-free service once installed correctly.
