| NOVAMAKE RESISTANCE TO SCRATCHING APPARATUS For Decorative Lamination Sheet (As Per IS 2046:1995) is specifically designed for Laboratory Testing of Decorative Lamination Sheet. The minimum load applied to a diamond scratching point a defined geometry which produces a continuous surface mark visible tonaked eye, corrected if necessary, if the resistance to scratching of the decorative laminated sheet under test. Minimum load is determine by appl ying successively decrea sing loads to the diamond point and examing to the mark produce. |

| NOVA MAKE RESISTANCE TO SCRATCHING APPARATUS For Decorative Lamination Sheet (As Per IS 2046:1995) is a digital unit consisting of direct digital display of the load in gm/N (Table provided on the unit). |
| A freely rotating supporting motorized turn table rotating at the speed of 5 +/- 1 RPM adjustable legs are provided for leveling. A sidearm with the separate weight is provided. A holder for diamond mounted is fitted on side arm. Hemispherical diamond scratching point with a po int radius of 0.090 N +/- 0.003mm and angle of 90 Deg, C +/- 1 Deg. C is mounted in the holder with the flat part on the leading side. The system is also provided with side arm resting device. |
| INTRODUCTION : | ||
| The equipment is used for determining the susceptibility of polyolefin plastics to environmental stress cracking when subjected to certain conditions. In this method, the artificially stressed specimen (bent) are subjected to surface active agents. The apparatus consists of S.S.inner tank for holding water or any other liquid used for the test. The tank is heat insulated. An automatic controller controls the liquid temperature accurately. The stirrer ensures the circulation of liquid and keeps the temperature uniform at all the areas inside the tank. A stainless steel tray hold the test tubes containing the specimen. All the tools like Nicking Jig, Die, Transfer tool, Bending tools etc. required for preparing the specimen are also provided with the equipment. The equipments has been designed to the National and International standard VIZ BIS, ASTM, ISO etc. | ||
| SYSTEM/METHOD: | ||
| Environmental Stress Cracking Resistance (Often called as ESCR) is a stimulated type of test measurement for a products performance in a stress initiating/propagating type of environment causing failure when prestressed in some manner. It consists of preparing a standard test specimen, initiating a stress point by a nick, stressing it by bending along the nick, and inserting in a stimulant environment at a certain temperature generally 50 Deg.C and examining it is resistance in terms of time (hours) to cracking it from the nick. This apparatus with all the accessories with point-dot nicking arrangement to the highest accuracy and operating ease and made from better quality alloy steels. The sample holders are corrosion resistant stainless steel made. The water bath is also equipped with a accurate temperature controlled throughout the test duration. The inner is a good quality Stainless Steel sheet and a convenient test tube holder fro uninterrupted sample observation.
