Needlekaar Kashmir is dedicated to the preservation of the age old art of hand weaving and embroidery that culminate in the Kashmiri shawl. Each piece is the work of human hands, Each shawl, through it’s spin, weave, dye, and embroidery is the product of an heirloom, passed down from the hands of the original weavers of Kashmir that were inspired by Persian mystic’s of the 14th century that taught them the craft, carefully passing on the art, generation to generation. Needlekaar is a family owned business with its roots and inspiration in the valley of Kashmir. It sees its platform as a cultural bridge, to connect people globally to the craft of local artisans of the valley, sustaining traditional techniques and preserving the value of handicrafts.
