These all purpose Magnetic Separators purify free flowing powders and granular material or concentrate and reclaim products in such materials. It also protects processing equipments such as grinders, crushers, rolls etc. against tramp iron damage.They can be installed inside closed chutes, an outlets of chutes and hoppers or where material discharge from feeders and conveyors. Its rugged construction is ideal for separating ferrous metal from material such as shredded cars, slag, crushed ore and ash at mass burn plants, In foundries, recycling Plastic, aluminum and glass. Similar in operation, it has a nonmagnetic outside shell that is driven around an internal stationery Magnet. Ferrous metal is magnetically drawn out of the material feed, held against the removing shell, and released when it reaches a discharged point beyond the magnetic field.
TYPES OF MAGNETIC PULLEY & DRUM TYPE MAGNETIC SEPARATOR
Magnetic Separators of these types are suitable for similar duties to Suspension Magnet, but discharges the extracted tramp iron automatically and continuously on the side of conveyor or beyond its head pulley.They are preferred for applications where there are frequent occurrences of the tramp iron or the installation position make the collection of iron from static magnets inconvenient or impracticable.
The most important application of these Magnetic Separators is for the removal of iron particles from materials on a conveyor belt. For this purpose, the magnet system then removes all the iron particles from the material flow passing underneath it.After leaving the magnetic sector, these iron particles then fall into a collecting tray.The operational side of the magnet is protected by a wear resistant S.S.- 304 plate. Safely and automatically remove tramp iron from heavy product flows.
O.B.M.S. are used for resource recovery, reclaiming steel for resale and separating ferrous contaminant from the other recycle material such as crushed aluminum, glass, plastic, tires concrete or wood. Many facilities use O.B.M.S. to protect machinery, such as crusher at quarries, cement plants and mines.At Power Plants, they keep tramp metal out of Coal Pulverizes, Pulp and paper mills use them on wood chips. In Foundries, they removes chills, spruces and gaggers from sand.
APPLICATION:
Electro Magnetic Industries Wet Drum Separator is a combination of Drum with unique permanent magnet arrangement and a specially design counter rotation tank, which results in a unit with performance exceeding that of conventional separators. Electro Magnetic Industries drums are provided withered 915mm diameter and available in magnet width from 610mm to 3050mm. The capacity and the performance figures given are for the drum in our counter- rotation tank. Capacity per meter of Drum width up to: Pulp 160m3/h- Magnetite30t/h- ferrosilicon 40t/h.
The Drum is direct driven by a shaft mounted geared motor unit which eliminates the main-tenance and spare parts associated with chain or belt drives. The drum shell, end flanges and a tank are all made from 304 grade stainless steel. The tank has a full length weir with adjustable apex. The amount of overflow water and pulp level is controlled by the apex position and orifices plates in the underflow outlets. The drum shell can be fitted with stainless steel wear wrap, alternatively covered with rubber or polyurethane. The internal surface of the tank can be lined with rubber or polyurethane. A trash screen is fitted in the feed box section of the tank. The position of the Drum in the tank is easily adjustable, horizontally and vertically.
Recovery up to: 99.9% for primary duty.Concentrate density up to: 3.6 with ferrosiliconThe Drums can be installed into existing tanks (counter- rotation or concurrent) for increased recovery and /or concentrate density. They are particularly suitable for secondary duty, recoveries of over 60% being obtained with pulps containing less than 0.1g/l magnetic. The wet drum separator was developed to meet the needs of DTMS plant designers and operators, for a unit with increased capacity, improved performance, minimum maintenance and space parts requirements. The separator consist of a drum with stationery permanent magnet assembly, tank and drive unit , all mounted on robust frame.

Electro Magnetic coil is electrified with direct current and thus forms magnetic field. Magnetic line of force goes through magnetic medium producing high gradient magnetic field.When Slurry containing magnetic minerals flows through magnetic medium from the bottom to the top. Magnetic granule is absorbed by the giant magnetic field on the surface ofmagnetic medium. Under the control of PLC, each valve and electric element operates automatically. As a result, the iron is removed from mineral.
1. Background field is 16000 Gauss, and the surface of magnetic medium intensity is 50000 Gauss.2. Dry Process Magnetic Separator is applied to recycle ores from barren rocks, or, to separate oresfrom rubbles for mines with intercalated bed. it is also used to recycle or remove iron materials.

MINERALS TREATED BYUS
Wet Process Magnetic Separator is used to separate magnetic minerals from non-magnetic minerals is ore beneficiation, coal washing, chemical industry, etc. The minerals size ranges from 0-6 mm and the Xmax (coefficient of magnetization) should be higher than 3000 x 10-6 cm3/g). Magnetite and Pyrrhotite are with strong magnetic force, while hematite, limonite and siderite are with weak magnetic force, and should go through magnetic roasting process before separation process.
Introduction To Main Unit Structure-
