The temperature of molten metal in the ladle is around 1650 degrees centigrade (3000 degrees F) and above. When this metal flows from ladle to tundish the temperature drops considerably. Without the use of insulation cover material, there may be breakdown in caster due to loss of temperature.
When Insulating Powder (Radex) – Innsulekx is spread as coating over the molten metal (about 1 inch to 2 inches thick blanket on the hot molten metal) in the ladle and tundish, it acts as a very good insulator and the temperature does not come down quickly in the tundish and ladle.
Ball Innsulekx is used in steel mills for insulation of molten metal in ladle and tundish. Ball Innsulekx has very good insulating properties.
BENEFITS:Ball Innsulekx comes in the form of pellets / granules / balls with size from 1 mm 8 mm. The advantage for the use of Ball Innsulekx is dust free working condition.
Use of Ball Innsulekx promotes a better working condition for the team on the melt shop floor. Ball Innsulekx needs less storage space when compared to normal fluxes.
Slagex is mainly used in the Furnace, Transfer Ladles and also in the Tundish to coagulate the slag and reduce Sulphur in one simple application.
Slagex is a low density insulating material with simple and easy application process.
ADVANTAGES :Slagex Desulphuriser and slag coagulant is a multifunctional powder product which is used in the Furnace and the Transfer Ladles for desulphurisation, slag conditioning, and slag de-oxidation.
It melts, mixes, and reacts with the liquid metal in a rolling motion, reducing Sulphur and other non-metallic inclusions.
It has a very simple and easy application process.
KEY FEATURES:Slagex Ph3040 Dephosphoriser is a low density material used in the Furnace while charging, to reduce the flow of impurities in the molten metal.
It melts, mixes, and reacts with the liquid metal, reducing phosphorus and other non-metallic inclusions.
It has a very simple and easy application process.
The consumption ranges between 12 kgs to 14 kgs per ton of steel.
ADVANTAGES:
