we offer Dehydrated Castor Oil Fatty Acid. DEHYDRATED CASTOR OIL FATTY ACID APPLICATION DCO fatty acid based alkyd resins and polyamides make up superior constituent in numerous paint and printing inks formulations. Styrenated epoxy esters of these fatty acids are used in prime quality automotive paints. DCO fatty acid are also used in the manufacture of high solids alkyds, acrylic and epoxy ester resins which are useful for interior and exterior can coatings, appliance finishes, automotive topcoats, primers, coil coatings, tube coatings, marine finishes, overprint, varnishes, high-speed printing inks. DCO FATTY ACID because of their conjugated dienes structure, are used to make more specialty chemicals via DIELS-ALDER reactions. ADVANTAGES : One Stage Direct Esterification at 30-40ºC lower temperature & without any metallic Catalyst. This also increases the kettle thoroughput.. Minimum 88% linoleic acid & total absence of linolenic acid, implies less side reaction, less yellowing. Absence of resin acids & minimum unsaponifiables. Alkyd resins with sharper M.W. distribution, high Tg, better film formability, uniform properties, lower colour, improved clarity. The advantages of DCO FATTY ACID over other fatty acids e.g. soyabean, tung, safflower, linseed and tall oil are: High percentage of Conjugation and total linoleic acid, giving rapid drying. No linolenic, implies very low yellowing in exterior environments. No resin acids and minimum unsaponifiables implies clear products obtained. Better water and alkali resistant properties in paints and inks. Stronger co polymerization property with vinyl resins implies stabilities of paint vehicles are increased. Lower temperature for esterification, implies lighter coloured products.
We are offering dehydrated castor oil. dehydrated castor oil application : surface coatings: dco is a unique drying oil, which imports good flexibility, fine gloss, toughness, adhesion, chemical & water resistance, and non-yellowing properties to the dry paint film. it is a very suitable as a preferred substitute for linseed oil in the paint industry. paints incorporating dehydrated castor oil are super white and make for superior finish. incorporation of dco in alkyds, paints, varnish etc. Permits for higher dilutions and eliminates brush drags. Dco is used as a primary binder for housepaints, enamels, caulks, sealants and inks. in “cooked” varnishes, it combines with all the basis resins, rosins, rosin-esters, hydrocarbons and phenolics to produce clear varnishes and vehicles for pigmented coatings. dco is also used in the manufacturing of lithographic inks, linoleum, putty and phenolic resins. dco is used with phenolics to obtain fast dry coatings with maximum alkali resistance as required in sanitary can linings, corrosion resistant coatings, traffic paints, varnishes, ink vehicles, wire enamels, aluminum paints, appliance finishes and marine finishes, etc. Dco is also polymerized to various viscosities generally ranging from 5 poise to 120 poise, which too can be used for paints and varnish industries. the polymerized dco is used to obtain fast kettling rate which gives a product having lighter color, lower acid varnishes. the polymerized dco is useful with modified phenolics and in petroleum resin-based cold-cuts . paints & coatings. Dehydrated castor oil is a unique drying oil used in high gloss, non-yellowing paints dehydrated castor oil fatty acids are used to make high solids alkyd, acrylic and epoxy ester resins for coating applications. Castor based reactive polyamides are used in high performance coatings.
