Extruded activated carbon is fused together and extruded into a cylindrical shaped activated carbon block with particle sizes ranging from 0.8 to 4.0 millimeters in diameter. These are mainly used for gas phase applications such as automotive emission control due to their low pressure drop, high mechanical strength and low dust content.
