Laboratory Ball Mill is primarily designed for grinding pigments. The material is ground at a specific speed by using a specific quantity of grinding media (steel balls) for a specific period. The equipment is used for making the ground cement samples in the laboratory. Apart from the cement industry, it is also used in the paint, plastic, granite and tile industries.
This is used for measuring the thickness of the geotextile. The thickness of the geosynthetic material can be measured with an accuracy of 0.001 mm (depend on the dial gauge accuracy) for thickness up to 10 mm with Foot pressure of 6.35 mm, 10 mm and 56.4 mm diameter. Dead weight mechanism is provided to apply desired pressure varying from 2, 20 to 200 kPa. Surface plate is grounded and is rust free to enable reproducible results.

De-Aired Tank is designed to remove dissolved gasses from ordinary clean water. The apparatus consists of a closed cylinder with hose attached to vacuum pump provided, which is controlled by PID controller.

The Universal Testing Machine is designed to carry out various tests on Geotextiles viz. Narrow & wide Tensile Strength, Trapezoidal Tearing Strength, CBR Push through and Puncture Strength etc. The machine gives a choice of seven constant rates of travel of the lead screw ranging from a maximum of 320mm/min to a minimum of 50 mm/min. The unit is Digital Microprocessor control and speed regulating by servo controlled motor and the speed can be from 5 mm to 500 mm. The apparatus consists of two test drums of 14 cm dia and 10 cm effective length with 16 nos. of 4 mm dia rods provided circumferentially at equal spacing to hold the geotextile specimen in position. Two troughs to contain the test drums are supported on horizontal axis, facilitating free rotation and capable of being filled with distilled water to a level of 20 mm below the drum axis. The clearance between the trough and the geotextile could be maintained at about 40 mm. The apparatus is provided with a motor drive and a change gear assembly to enable rotation of the drums at a speed of 20 rpm.
This chamber is capable of maintaining a temperature range from - 40 to + 100C and controlled by the PID controller for better accuracy.

Compaction : Soil compaction is a fundamental requirement for the construction of earth fill for dams, reservoirs, canal embankments, highways, railways and runways. The relationship between soil moisture content and compacted dry density is very useful for deciding construction specifications and quality control of compacted earth fill. While designing an earth or earth retaining structure, the strength and deformation behaviour of soil is evaluated by testing soil specimen compacted to the density as would be achieved during construction. The construction quality control is essentially to check the density of compacted soil achieved in the field, thereby checking its strength.

It is a motor driven mechanical compactor useful for soil compaction. Two sets of Rammers are provided The rammer assembly is provided with a ratchet and pawl arrangement to lift it from the top of the soil layer. When the rammer reaches the required height the pawl release the rammer which falls freely on soil surface. An automatic blow counter fitted to the compactor is used to set the number of blows. The base plate of the specimen mould is to be fitted to the rotating base plate of the instrument which marks 1/5" revolution per stroke. The Volume Change Gauge illustrated works on the principle of reversing the direction of flow when the limit of the volume change scale is reached. The number of cycles with the volume of fluid handled in each cycle provides the total volume change, whereas the sensitivity is governed by the dia of the polythene tube used. The sensitive volume change gauge has realized sensitivity of 0.003 ml/mm with the 6 ml volume of fluid per cycle. The apparatus consists of a volume measuring polythene tube running along both sides of a scale and connected at both ends to two mercury traps. These traps are connected to flow reversal valves through a manifold. The length of the polythene tube is enough to measure 6 ml volume of fluid per cycle. A small pallet of mercury is introduced in the circuit to be used as a cursor, and the movement of pallet is measured. The unit is tested to a pressure of 20bar (20 kg/cm2) and is designed for wall mounting.

The apparatus is used in specification tests of masonry cement and physical testing of quicklime and hydrated lime. Film stripping device is used to measure the resistance of bituminous mixtures to stripping of asphalt from aggregate particles. It is generally used to evaluate mineral aggregates & to judge the adhesion of the bituminous materials. The device consists of a disk on which 4 bottles are mounted. The disc rotates at a speed of approx. 100 rpm. The sample is placed in the bottles & agitated for 15 minutes. The percentage of aggregate stripped can be visually estimated. These are used to measure the working and ultimate capacities of rock bolt anchors. Further, our products comprises of a central hole jack, hand pump with load gauge, directional control valve and only for central hole jacks above the capacity of 500kN, flexible pipes, truss high tensile test rod with coupling. This bench mounted, single spindle lapping machine is ideally suited for the final polishing of mounted rock or concrete specimens. Two sample holders of sample size ordered for are provided with each machine as standard supply. Sample holders of other sizes can also be provided on request. This is for aggregates resistance to abrasion. The apparatus consists of a metal disc which revolves in a horizontal plane on a vertical shaft. A suitable attachment for holding the specimen with is axis vertical and its lower end pressed with a prescribed pressure against the surface of the disc (the distance from the centre of specimen to the centre of shaft being 25 cm) is provided. A convenient funnel for feeding sand continuously upon the rotating disc is also provided.
