Air Conditioning Test Rig works on simple vapour compression refrigeration cycle using R 134a as a refrigerant.The system is fabricated such that student can study all the air conditioning processes. It is also useful to understand working of all the components of system, their performance and control etc. All the components are mounted on the display board, so that students can observe their working easily.

MICROTECH apparatus enables the students to study the interesting phenomenon of heat pipe & to compare its performance with other pipes. The apparatus consists of a heat pipe made up of stainless steel, evacuated and partially filled with distilled water, a copper pipe and stainless steel pipe of same sizes. The pipes are heated at one end and water tank is provided at the other end of the pipe to take out the heat. Thermocouples are provided along the length of pipes so that nearly isothermal operation of heat pipe as compared to other conductors can be demonstrated. Rapid rise of water temperature in the tank around heat pipe demonstrates super conductivity of heat pipe as compared to copper pipe as good conductor of heat and to stainless steel pipe as same material of construction.Heat Pipe - Stainless steel pipe size 25 mm. dia. 450 mm. long, with both side closed, evacuated and filled with distilled water along with fine stainless steel mesh inside the wall.

Pelton turbine test rig of blower casing fitted to a variable speed motor. Three different type of impellers can be fitted over the shaft. Air discharge is measured by venturimeter. The impeller can be rotated at different speed and performance of blower can be estimated at different speed and discharge heads.
