These are flange mounted self priming type, compactly designed Pressurising Gear Pumps fabricated out of graded CI material. Besides use for general applications for transferring Non Corrosive and Non Abrasive Viscous Fluids like Fuel Oil, Transformer Oil, Mineral Oil, Paints, LDO, Kerosene, Varnish, Soap Solutions & Molasses, these pumps also find their uses in specific Force Feed applications such as Oil Lubrication, Oil Pumping, Oil Filtration, Cooling & Cleaning Systems, Fuel Pressurising in Boilers, Burners and Fuel Injections.
These pumps are designed to give maximum pressure around 30 to 35 kg/cm2.These pumps can handle liquids upto 500 CST viscosity at maximum temperature of 200 Deg. C. The direction of Suction and Discharge can be reversed if and when required.
These 100% Leak Proof & Seal Less Magnetic Drive Chemical Process Pumps are based upon the latest indigenous technology, which is quite different from the one employed by conventional Chemical Process & Centrifugal pumps.
The most revolutionary characteristic of this pump is that neither the pulley is employed nor the coupling is used to rotate the propeller of the pump, which moves the liquid or the chemical. Motor is fitted in a separate casing and so is the pump. When the motor starts rotating, the pump automatically starts working in its own casing and starts pushing the liquid.
It not only sounds but looks like magic but it is only a technique, which Promivac has adopted. The liquid does not come in contact with the shaft hence no chance of corrosion, irrespective of the gravity of its aggressiveness. Leakage, of course, is out of question.
This type of pump can safely handle hazardous, highly corrosive, explosive & toxic chemicals of low density (1.4 sp.gr.) and clear liquids upto 90 Deg. C. The outlet can be directed at any desired angle is an other extra facility. The wetted components are made from high quality Glass Filled Reinforced Polypropylene (GFRPP), Viton, Teflon & Ceramic.
These can also be made available in variety of materials, depending upon users specific needs. The material of construction can be chosen from Stainless Steel, Plastic, Rulon, Alumina, Carbon or any other which does not react with the chemical to be processed.

These are manufactured from good quality food grade SS-316 and are also available with steam jacket. Their Trilobe design & timing gear drive enhances the performance of the pumps and are popular in diverse industries because they offer superb sanitary qualities, high efficiency, reliability, corrosion resistance, and good clean-in-place and sterilize-in-place characteristics.
Lobe pumps are similar to external gear pumps in operation in that fluid flows around the interior of the casing. Unlike external gear pumps, however, the lobes do not make contact. Lobe contact is prevented by external timing gears located in the gearbox. Pump shaft support bearings are located in the gearbox, and since the bearings are out of the pumped liquid, pressure is limited by bearing location and shaft deflection.
Rotary lobe pumps are non-contacting and have large pumping chambers, allowing them to handle solids such as cherries or olives without damage and are also used to handle slurries, pastes & a wide variety of other liquids. They also offer reversible flows and can operate dry for long periods of time. Flow is relatively independent of changes in process pressure, so output is constant and continuous.

These are Single Stroke. Air-cooled reciprocating units available in single and double stage configuration and can achieve vacuum upto 29.6" Hg (752 mm Hg). These are quite reliable and maintenance free pumps. Proving a boon for application where in oil mist contamination is not at all acceptable.

In response to the over whelming demand received from the market, PROMIVAC has come forth with a Double Stage version of their vastly patronized Water-ring type Vacuum Pump. Each and every pump of this new series very successfully and effectively takes care of its respective job and hence as usual is held in similar high esteem the 'PROMIVAC' logo has already earned.
PROMIVAC Double Stage Water-ring Vacuum Pumps are of Positive Displacement Type wherein the Impeller is mounted Eccentrically to the axis of the Pump Casing. Sealing water forms a ring which circulates concentrically within the axis of the casing. Process Gases drawn in through the Suction Port get trapped in the Impeller Cells, are compressed & travels to the second stage where they get compressed further and are discharged through the Exhaust port. The sealing water which forms the liquid ring is supplied at a pressure equal to the Discharge Pressure of the pump, which allows the pump to automatically make up the amount of liquid which is discharged through the Exhaust Port, therefore removing the Heat of Compression from the Pump.
These can create Vacuum up to 720 mm Hg provided that the temperature of the sealant water is below 30 C & barometric pressure at site is 760 mm Hg.
Generally the Main Casing & almost all the components are made from CI except the Shaft & Impeller which is of SS-304/SS-316. However, the pumps are also offered in various combinations of resistant materials for specific applications.

These combine in them the two-fold features of suction and pressure and hence the same unit can be employed for either function. When used as vacuum pump, they can create vacuum up to 710 mm (28" Hg) provided the temperature of the sealant water is below 30 C & barometric pressure at site is 30 Inches of Hg.
Generally, the main casing & almost all the components are fabricated from C.I. except the main shaft, which is of MS / EN-8. However, it is also offered in various combinations of resistant materials for specific applications. Details are supplied on demand.
One of the main characteristics of Promivac water-ring pumps is that even under harsh conditions or under lack of proper supervision, these pumps continue to give satisfactory performance because none of its internal parts demand greasing or lubrication. These are least affected if a small quantity of vapour, dust, gas, or other such impurities enter its body through the suction nozzle.
