Angular Contact Ball Bearings

Angular Contact Ball Bearings have raceways in the inner and outer ring, which are displaced with respect to each other in the direction of the bearing axis. This means that they are suitable for acting radial and axial loads. The axial load carrying capacity of Angular Contact Ball Bearings increases with increasing contact angle. Single Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings can support radial and thrust loads. They accommodate thrust loads in only one direction; they are adjusted against another bearing, which support the opposite axial load. Single Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings of series 70 BEP, 72 BEP and 73 BEP have a contact angle of 40. They can therefore accommodate high axial loads, are non-separable and are suitable for particularly high speed. The Single Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings are produced in two standard versions for different purposes. The standard design is intended for arrangements where only one bearing is used at each bearing position. Universal preload ground bearings are intended for being mounted in pairs either in X- O- or Tandem-arrangement or for other group mounting. They could be mounted in any possible arrangement.

Self-aligning Ball Bearings

IBC Self-Aligning Ball Bearings are of double row type, with a spherical outer ring raceway. The inner ring has two grooves similar to these of Deep Groove Ball Bearings. Their self-aligning capability allows them to compensate for misalignments. Self Aligning Ball Bearings are designed for medium up to high rotational speeds and can accommodate radial and axial loads in both directions. They are available with cylindrical or tapered bore. Bearings can be fixed on the shaft via adapter sleeve. Generally the series 12, 22, 13, 23 are available. In addition to unsealed IBC Self Aligning Ball Bearings of series 22. and 23., a basic design with seals on both sides can be supplied. It should be observed that the inner design of the bearings correspond to the series 12. and 13.

Tapered Roller Bearings

The rolling elements of Tapered Roller Bearings look like truncated cones. The inner ring (cone) has a special back face rib at the large cone diameter for axial load purposes. The front face rib at the smaller cone diameter together with the cage avoids dropping out of rollers. For easy mounting the outer ring (cup) has no shoulders. IBC Tapered Roller Bearings are designed for high radial and unidirectional axial loads for medium rotational speed. Generally the series 30.A, 31.A, 32.A are available. Arrangement in pairs allows for axial load in both directions. Due to contact angle Tapered Roller Bearings are intended for axial loads. Therefore a second bearing for counter guidance is necessary.

Spherical Roller Bearings

Spherical Roller Bearings are made for heavy-duty applications. They feature two rows of symmetrical barrel rollers. There are two separated raceways within the inner ring. Both roller rows are positioned in a common spherical outer ring raceway and therefore shaft deflection and misalignment at the bearing seating are compensated. They are designed for high radial and relatively high axial loads at medium rotational speed. Spherical Roller Bearings are made either with a cylindrical or with a tapered bore. IBC Spherical Roller Bearings are available in series 222., 223., 230., 232., 239., 240., 241. . and are made either with steel , or with brass cages. Screen Bearings are a special version of Spherical Roller Bearings. For detailed information please refer to chapter IBC Special Bearings.

Needle Roller Bearings

Needle Roller Bearings are roller bearings with cylindrical rollers, which are thin and long in relation to their diameter (needles). In spite of their low cross section, the bearings have a high load carrying capacity and are thus eminently suitable for bearing arrangements where radial space is limited. Needle Roller Bearings are used with and without inner ring. Needle Roller Bearings only permit axial movement between shaft and housing, within certain limits. They are designed for bearing applications when grinding or hardening of the shaft is not possible or economically reasonable. If grinding and hardening of shaft is possible Needle Roller Bearings without inner ring are used. Due to non-availability of inner ring, shaft can be designed stronger and more rigid. One further version is the Needle Roller Assembly, which is used as rolling element without inner and outer ring.

Spherical Roller Bearing

NIBLs self-aligning double-row spherical roller bearings are a combination of radial and axial bearings. These are designed to operate even if shaft and housing are, or become, misaligned under load. The internal design of the spherical roller bearings enables them to withstand very high radial loads and axial loads in both directions. These type of heavy duty bearing are the preferred choice when conditions include heavy loads, difficulties in establishing or maintaining housing alignment, or when shaft deflection is expected. These bearings can take high degrees of misalignment depending on the size and series of the bearing. shaft deflection and housing distortion caused by shock or heavy loads, which lead to misalignment, are compensated for by the internal self-alignment of the bearing elements during operation. The corner loading of rollers, a condition that limits service life on other types of bearings, cannot develop in spherical roller bearings. The inherent compensation for misalignment provided by the spherical roller bearing offers the designer the opportunity to use weldments for housing frames instead of complex castings, eliminating high cost machining operations. Even when castings may be preferred, bore alignment is less critical if spherical roller bearings are specified. Unit design and construction also makes the spherical roller bearing convenient to handle during installation or maintenance. Most types have circular grooves and lubricating holes in the outer ring. This feature facilitates more effective lubrication. NIBL manufactures spherical roller bearings with cylindrical and tapered bore. Tapered bore bearings may be used either in Plummer blocks or conventional housingsRange The standard NIBL spherical roller bearings are available from 22205-2228 and from 22308-22322. Bearings can be in straight or tapered bore and have clearances ranging from C2-C5.

Bottom Roller Bearings

NIBL manufactures a wide range of Bottom Roller Bearings. These are specifically designed Needle Roller Bearings for long life and low maintenance for Ring Frames. The outer ring of the bearing is crowned to accommodate misalignment in the roller stands. Crowning also helps in preventing early failure of the bearing by distributing the load uniformly. The inner ring has knurling on its flanges, which provides an effective seal to prevent entry of fibres in the bearing and protect it from damage. NIBL Bottom Roller Bearings incorporate a steel cage split in two halves or plastic cage. The design of cage pockets ensures that the needles do not fall and also give them positive and accurate guidance. Lubrication to the bearing is effected through the grease nipple. The bearing is secured on the roller stand very easily by a holder (locating cap). The holder (locating cap) can be customized according to unique application designs.Range NIBL Standard Bottom Roller Bearings are available with an inner diameter from 14.2mm-24mm; outer diameter from 28 mm to 32mm.Industries Ring FrameSpring Frame
