Oil Description: Dark orange-brown or reddish-brown viscous liquid with an intensely floral, rich, sweet and tenacious aroma, a peculiar waxy-oily note, and somewhat fruity tea- or hay-like undertones. Jasmine oils originating from flowers grown in high altitudes often have a fresh and somewhat diffusive top note, originating from flowers of hot climates tend to possess much warmer, sensuous, and/or subtle indolic or pheromone-like notes. Though this is not always the case, the quality of the aroma also very much depends on timing of the harvest, how fresh the blossoms are at the time of extraction, the quality of solvents used, and the expertise employed in the extraction process. Undiluted, the absolutes aroma is almost too strong, but when well diluted, it is the gentle magic of scented moonlight reflected from the flowers of the night-blooming Jasmine.
Osmanthus fragrans is a flower native to China that is valued for its delicate fruity-floral apricot aroma. It is especially valued as an additive for tea and other beverages in the far east. While the flowers of osmanthus range from silver-white (Osmanthus fragrans Lour. var. latifolius Mak.) to gold-orange (Osmanthus fragrans Lour. var. thunbergii Mak.) to reddish (Osmanthus fragrans Lour. var. aurantiacus Mak.), the extract (alcohol absolute) is usually prepared from the gold-orange flowers. Osmanthus absolute is very expensive (U.S. $4000.00 per kilogram) and accordingly is used in only the most expensive perfumes and flavors.
Lotus Oil Uses - Lotus essential oil, Nelumbo nucifera, has been credited with numerous beneficial properties both physical and spiritual. The Ancient Romans and Greeks used it to cure ailments such as asthma, rheumatism and internal problems. Its purported healing powers have extended to epilepsy, jaundice, kidney and bladder complaints and even the plague. It has also been used as an aphrodisiac and to guard against witchcraft. It is now believed to be a good source of beneficial negative ions when worn close to or on the skin. Pink Lotus Absolute is extracted from the blossoms of the pink variety of Nelumbo nucifera which grows extensively in ponds of South India. It is a dark orange viscous liquid which can also be soft waxy in consistency. Like white lotus it can also display significant odor differences depending on the location of the ponds, the weather, etc. It is not grown under cultivation but appears in ponds over a wide area in Tamil Nadu. In general the absolute displays a delicate soft sweet powdery floral bouquet with a somewhat fruity, ambery undertone in which a medicinal note may appear as well. At times the same heavier notes that appear in white lotus absolute may appear in pink lotus as well and visa versa. Much depends on the location where the blossoms are harvested. The odor of white and pink lotus growing in the same locale tends to be quite similar. In perfumery white and pink lotus absolute can be used to great advantage in exotic tropical bouquets, sacred perfumes, ambre compositions, and high class florals.
Botanical Name: Rosa Damascena Appearance: Yellow pale liquid Origin: India Part of plant used: Petals Our Rose Absolute is a 100% pure and natural Solvent Extract Rose essential oil product. The Rose Absolute is certified by the Indian Government-appointed laboratory at the Research Institute for Roses, Aromatic, and Medicinal Plants - the ultimate Rose otto authority in the world. It can also be emotionally uplifting and tonic for the nervous system.
White Lotus Absolute is an authentic oil from Tamil Nadu, India, that is distilled from wild flowers. The lotus flower has been used as a medicinal herb for generations in Asia. Lotus leaf juices alone are used for diarrhea and sunstroke when mixed with licorice. The flower is used for abdominal cramps, bloody discharges, bleeding gastric ulcers, excessive menstruation and post-partum hemorrhage. The flower stamens of the lotus are used in urinary frequency, premature ejaculation, hemolysis (the breakdown of red blood cells), epistasis (gene interaction) and uterine bleeding. The fruit is used for agitation and fever. Lotus seed has been shown to lower cholesterol levels and to relax the smooth muscle of the uterus. It has been used for poor digestion, enteritis, chronic diarrhea, insomnia, and palpitations. Currently, there is not enough scientific evidence to recommend the use of lotus for any indication.

Musk Melon also widely known as cantaloupe comes under the melon family curcurbitaceae along with pumpkins, gourds and cucumbers. Cantaloupes are the most popular kind of musk melon in America. Although all cantaloupes are considered to be musk melons, all musk melons are not cantaloupes. In the Indian markets a variety known as ambrosia melon is very popular. This variety tastes and looks like the cantaloupe but the color of the flesh is a brighter orange. Nutrition Value and Medicinal Uses:The varied medicinal uses of musk melon are due to the high nutritional value of the fruit. It also prevents osteoporosis and cancer. The vitamin C present in musk melon helps in the production of white blood cells that help to fight infections and build a strong immune system. The natural minerals and nutrients present in the fruit also give a synergistic combination which helps the body cope with withdrawal. Smoking depletes the amount of vitamin C in the body and by drinking musk melon juice you can replace it. Musk Melon for Pregnant Women:The folic acid present in the fruit is very good for pregnant women and makes the baby healthy. Its high content of folate is known to prevent the neural tube defect that occurs in the second week of pregnancy. High folate content during pregnancy ensures the proper production and maintenance of the new cells, the synthesis of DNA and RNA. The musk melons being chosen for consumption should not be hard but a little firm. Do not use fruit that is soft and yellowing. The melons should also be a little heavy which will mean that there is a lot of juice in it. Make sure to wash the musk melons properly before using it since they are grown in the ground. It is important that you remember some of these tips and choose the fruits that are most fresh.
The seeds of the pumpkin, botanical name Curcurbita pepo, are best known as a healthy fall snack. Nutritionally, the seeds contain essential fatty acids, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron and beta-carotene. They are also a good source of fiber. Preliminary studies from China and Russia have shown the protein in pumpkin seeds, called cucurbitin, to be effective at resolving tapeworm infestations. Two studies from Thailand found that eating pumpkin seeds as a snack can help prevent the most common type of kidney stone by reducing levels of substances that promote stone formation. Pumpkin seed oil, also called Kuerbiskernoel, is extracted from the seeds of the Styrian pumpkin grown in Austria and Slovenia. It is also said to be an effective diuretic, and is sometimes used to relieve urinary tract infections. Two studies found the oil to be beneficial for relief of the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) by improving the function of the bladder and urethra. Pumpkin oil has a high tryptophan content that may be useful in the treatment of insomnia.
PROSTATE FUNCTION:Pumpkin seed oil has been used in combination with saw palmetto in two double blind human studies to effectively reduce symptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. Researchers have suggested that the zinc, free fatty acid, or plant sterol content of pumpkin seeds might account for their benefit in men with BPH. Studies have shown that pumpkin seed extracts can improve the function of the bladder and urethra, this might partially account for BPH symptom relief. ANTI-ARTHRITIC:Studies have shown that pumpkin seed oil is as potent as the drug indomethacin at relieving chronic rheumatoid arthritis. It is likely that this effect is due to the essential fatty acid profile, rich antioxidant content, and the synergistic effects of other minor components. Pumpkin seeds have been shown to have high levels of vitamin E, including all forms of the tocopherol family i.e. alpha, beta, delta, and gamma tocopherol, along with the tocotrienols. ANTI-PARASITIC:Cucurbitin is an amino acid that has shown anti-parasitic activity in vitro. Human studies conducted in China have shown pumpkin seeds to be helpful for people with acute schistosomiasis, a severe parasitic disease occurring primarily in Asia and Africa that is transmitted through snails. CHOLESTEROL LOWERING:Pumpkin seed oil has been concurrently used with cholesterol lowering drugs and would appear to potentiate the overall lipid lowering effects. The positive effects on lowering LDL levels and increasing HDL levels are most likely due to the antioxidant and essential fatty acid content of pumpkin seed oil. Side effects of the cholesterol drug were also reduced when pumpkin seed oil was administered. Similar positive results have been found in concomitant use of pumpkin seed oil with anti-hypertensive medication. The hypotensive action is due to the EFAs and antioxidant capability of PSO.
Rose Essential oil is the soul of plant and this soul has two aspects to predict itself. Rose Absolute is solvent extracted from petals of the Rose (Rosa Damascena India). Rose Absolute is an orange yellow, orange reddish or slightly olive yellowish liquid of extremely rich, warm, spicy floral and very deep rose odor with a more or less pronounced honey like back note. The rose absolute diffusive power is only realized when the absolute is diluted or used at the concentration of a few percent or even less in a perfume base. Rose oil, meaning either rose Otto (attar of rose, attar of roses) or rose absolute, is the essential oil extracted from the petals of various types of rose. Rose ottos are extracted through steam distillation, while rose absolutes are obtained through solvent extraction or supercritical carbon dioxide extraction, with the absolute being used more commonly in perfumery. Approximately 4000 kilograms of petals are required to produce 1 kilogram of pure rose oil. Its exotic nature and value were appreciated in ancient times by the Greeks, Chinese, Indians, Persians and Romans. All documentation indicates that their medical applications of the essential oil were identical to those that exist today.

It cools down the burning skin sensation and heals up the skin damage. It can fade out ugly marks left behind by acne, boils or any other spots on skin surface. Rose oil is a rich source of vitamin C which acts as an antioxidant and improves skin condition. Regular application of the oil on the discolored skin will restore the normal skin color. It can be used directly on open wounds and cuts on the skin surface. Firstly, it will contract the blood vessels of the affected area and stop the bleeding. Then its antiseptic qualities protect the wound from infections. If it is applied on stretch marks, surgery marks or fat cracks it repairs the damaged skin and reduces their appearance it can be safely applied on skin disorders like eczema. It reduces the skin inflammation and irritation. When taken internally, it removes toxins from the blood. This in turn will prevent eruption of skin rashes, ulcers, boils, etc. on skin. Amber is a semi solid mass of tree resins and gums native to India with most of the raw material coming from the resinous tree Liquidamber orientalis. It is not harvested with that sensual aroma all on its own, but rather it undergoes a slight manufacturing process. True amber resins should not contain artificial ingredients, petroleum by-products, or have any mineral base.Studies have shown that pure Amber oil has a psychoactive effect shown through biofeedback as a relaxant for brain waves, (alpha, beta, and theta) and it has been shown to "enhance" heart energy and increase sensual pleasure.

Thick, fleshy rhizomes give rise to erect shoots that bear two rows of linear-lance-shaped leaves each about 2 ft long. The leaves are smooth and dark green above, silky and paler beneath. n active brain stimulant, which produces sleeplessness, hence its great value in narcotic poisoning, in acute cases is injected into the rectum. Veryvaluable in cases of snake-bite, helping to ward off theterrible coma. It also exerts a soothing action on the vascular system, preventing a too rapid wasting of the tissues of the body; these effects are not only due to the volatile oil but to the caffeine itcontains. Caffeine is valuable for heart disease, ascites and pleuritic effusion and combines well with digitalis; also valuable in cases of inebrity; is a powerful diuretic, but loses its effect with use.
Coffee consumption has generally been shown to have little or no impact on cancer development.
Coffee consumption reduces the risk ofprostate cancer, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, Parkinson's disease, heart disease, diabetes mellitus type 2, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, cirrhosis, and gout. It may increase the risk of acid reflux and associated diseases.
The fact that decaffeinated coffee also exhibits preventative effects against diseases such as prostate cancer and type 2 diabetes suggests that coffee's health benefits are not solely a product of its caffeine content. Specifically, the antidiabetic effect of caffeine has been attributed to caffeic acid and chlorogenic acid.
The presence of antioxidants in coffee has been shown to prevent free radicals from causing cell damage. Evidence suggests that roasted coffee has a stronger antioxidant effect than green coffee.
Coffee is no longer thought to be a risk factor for coronary heart disease.
Caffeine acts as an acute antidepressant. A review published in 2004 indicated a negative correlation between suicide rates and coffee consumption. It was suggested that the action of caffeine in blocking the inhibitory effects of adenosine on dopamine nerves in the brain reduced feelings of depression.
Excessive amounts of coffee can cause very unpleasant and even life-threatening adverse effects. Coffee's adverse effects are generally more common when taken in excess. Many of coffee's health risks are due to its caffeine content and can therefore be avoided by drinking decaffeinated coffee.
Oily components called diterpenes are present in unfiltered coffee and coffee brewed using metal filters, but not in coffee brewed using paper filters. The two diterpenes present in coffee, kahweol and cafestol, have been associated with increased risk of coronary heart disease via elevation of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels in blood.
Lines from explanatory text point to portions of the body.
Overview of effects of moderate consumption of caffeine, a main active component of coffee Elderly individuals with a depleted enzymatic system do not tolerate coffee with caffeine well. They may also react poorly to decaffeinated coffee because it can cause heartburn. Moderate amounts of coffee (50100 mg of caffeine or 510 g of coffee powder a day) are well tolerated by most elderly people.
Coffee consumption can lead to iron deficiency anemia by interfering with iron absorption, especially in mothers and infants.
Coffee's interference with iron absorption is due to the polyphenols it contains. However, excess iron is carcinogenic to the liver. Therefore, coffee consumption's negative correlation with the development of liver cancer is also attributed to polyphenols.
Although some chemicals in coffee are carcinogens in rodents at very high doses, research suggests that they are not dangerous at the levels consumed by humans. Instant coffee has a much greater amount of acrylamide than brewed coffee. Research suggests that drinking caffeinated coffee can cause a temporary stiffening of arterial walls. Coffee may aggravate pre-existing conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease, migraines, arrhythmias, and cause sleep disturbances.
Caffeine can cause anxiety, especially in high doses and in those with pre-existing anxiety disorders.
Some research suggests that a minority of moderate regular caffeine consumers experience some amount of depression, anxiety,
low vigor, or fatigue when discontinuing their caffeine use. However, the methodology of the these studies has been criticized. Withdrawal effects are more common and better documented in heavy caffeine users.[citation needed]
About 15% of the U.S. general population reports having stopped drinking coffee altogether, citing concerns about their health and the unpleasant side effects of caffeine.
