This is modified form of tamarind kernel powder, which is obtained from high quality export tamarind seeds, it involves many process before getting high quality fine 300 mesh size powder. Gum powder is made depending upon requirement of low and high viscosity. Process :It involves cracking & cleaning of seeds and then processed into big chemical reactor at certain temperature. Algi Gum
It is Sodium Salt of alginic acid. It forms as a gum powder (thickener) when extracted from the cell walls of brown algae (also called marine algae ie seaweed obtained from coastal areas of southern India). Tamarind Seeds

Tamarind Seeds

Tamarind Kernel Seeds are very hard and strong and is covered with black brown husk. It is obtained after roasting of Black brown seed and removing its outer layer. It is white in color and its size varies in between 12 to 16 mm. It is fruit of a large tropical tree grown in forests. Tamarind seed husk constitutes to 35 % of total seed weight and other 65% is white kernel used in manufacturing Tamarind kernel powder. Tamarind seed (Tamarind indicia) is found mostly in south India and South east Asia. Tree flowers in springs (Sept to Nov). The ripen from Feb to May. The seed have pulp and outer shell. Seeds are flat and irregular rectangular in shapes. The when cleaned gives 25% Testa and 75% Kernel. The black seeds are roasted and decorticated and white kernel are handpicked or separated by color sorter.
